Downton Abbey meets Hogwarts in this Fate/Zero Sequel.
Prepare for a lecture in this last minute addition to Crunchyroll's roster. The pilot episode is bursting with essay, though somehow manages to include other elements of previous fate series. Swirling plots and dark curses abound in this magic school series.
Waver Velvet, Iskandar's side kick, returns to teach young mages in this most recent Fate spin off. Teaching includes more than planning ...

I think it had a pretty promising episode zero
I never saw this anime coming, so I was pleasantly surprised to see it listed.

It shows a more well-rounded picture of Adult Waver Velvet (El-Melloi II) that actually corresponds well to the younger man seen in Fate/Zero, but also glimpsed in other works like Apocrypha.

We also see much more of the Clocktower, where Mages in the Fate universe congregate in a community, and this was something ...

Promising spin-off. For a fan that is.
So far so good. This series is not about fate or holy grail war. It's simply a side story about how the world of mages outside of the holy grail war works. Only watch if you're really into type-moon verse in general. Not for casual viewer and certainly not for people who only watch fate/zero and hope this is some more Fate.

Modern Magic and Good, Old-Fashioned Intrigue!
OK, not being intimately familiar with the larger franchise, I had to make sure when I thought that I recognized this as part of the Fate family. Seems I was correct on that point. But this story, which follows a professor of modern magecraft as he navigates the duties and treachery of the Clock Tower, stands firmly on its own. The artwork is beautiful, the characterization is quietly ...

    The Nasuverse Essentials Guide
As always the case, this is a show taking place in the Nasuverse of mages and magic. Old fans of the franchises consisting in it (Fate, Garden of Sinners, Tsukihime, etc.) will undoubtedly enjoy this, but for newer fans or people confused by the complicated world of magic, here is a guide to all the essentials you may hear about without much context.

    Magic: Supernatural occurrences that ...

solid mood piece even if you aren't familiar with the universe
This is my first entry into the Fate/Zero (etc) universe, so there's a lot of wtf going on. I really do enjoy the way that the writing for this show seems to be aimed squarely at the sweet spot between providing just enough backstory/context to let a new viewer hang in there, but also leaving you feeling like there's a LOT of background that you are missing... and that maybe you should look into ...

This is a link to the original story.
    - link: https://www.crunchyroll.com/fatezero. This is a continuation of that story. This link will take you there immediately! This is the story of Lord El-Melloi II, one of the twelve Lords that reside at the Clock Tower, one of the very few who participated in the Fourth Holy Grail War held in the Far East to actually survive the experience. He has an apprentice, Gray. She carries ...

    Great New Addition to Nasuverse
This is a very accurate representation of the world of mages in the Nasuverse, for people who are familiar with the actual light novels, or are familiar with the idea of magic as a whole within the Nasuverse, this series is great, it gives us a very clear visualization of the Mages Association (AKA the Clock Tower) within the Nasuverse, its inner strife and other nuances through the eyes of one of ...

  • Glory is beyond the horizon.
"Live, Waver. See all of this to the end, and when it is done, speak of it... Of your King.. Of the charge of Iskandar!"

A complex, beautifully done anime illustrating the effects of the fourth Holy Grail war of Fuyuki on one of it's few surviving masters. While Waver Velvet is now the brilliant professor and faux Clock Tower Lord, taking up cases to repay his towering debt to the El-Melloi ...

  • Fate meets Sherlock!
I love Type-Moon. I ESPECIALLY love Fate/Zero and Fate/stay night. So when I heard of Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files, an interquel spin-off series starring Fate/Zero's Waver Velvet in the vein of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes mysteries, I was instantly hooked!

Troyca is already doing a fantastic job at reintroducing Waver and fleshing out more info about the Mages' Association at Clock ...
