This better go for at least six seasons and not just tease us with more of Major.
This review is only based on the first episode so take it with a grain of salt.

I kinda wish that there were less returning characters, because it seems like everyone is someone from the previous anime and it would be nice to get a few more unfamiliar faces. But from the attitude of Daigo, it seems very much like the old anime. If you liked the old show then it seems like you're getting more ...

I like where this is headed
It would be too cliche for the children of superstar baseball players to be "genius" players themselves. I'm glad to see that they're going with the dynamic of one who feels burdened by the legend of his father's name, and the other beginning his baseball life and doesn't know his potential. A great follow up to one of my favorite anime series.

    Start of a new dream
*This review is being made from the first episode
**This is more of a resume than a real review

The original series is my favorite anime of all time because personnal reasons, but the series itself was pretty solid. The whole series was about character developpement except for few moments. Goro was always trying to overcome his challenge by pure effort. He was always trying so hard to become a ...

    Sports Anime with Some Umph
Preface: I didn't watch the original series. And as someone who has no trouble finding ish to watch, I probably never will.

This show is fire. I am a massive sports anime fan. Recently tho, sports animes have fallen into repetitive tropes focusing on characters who overcome a significant setback they have for said sport through sheer determination and/or some freakish other talent. Major 2nd ...

    Great Baseball anime, again.
Always on the look out for a new sports anime. This, Major the 2nd, refers to being the son of a Japanese baseball superstar. Nice twist. I can't wait to see the whole series. Different than most sports anime, in that the kid fails at his dream, to be a pitcher like his father. And he quits. And he throws his mitt into the river. Come on kid! You're killing me. But destiny is fulfilled ...

    Simultaneously Nostalgic and New
It's so heartwarming and nostalgic to see our favorite characters from Major in their new lives and roles, but even more amazing than that is how completely original this story is! Goro's son is not the ridiculously overpowered MC his dad was, but his story is just as compelling! Every episode flies by in seeming seconds, and the character development is as fascinating as it was in the original ...

  • One of The Better Baseball Anime's.
While going into this series from watching Diamond no Ace, Major, and a few others I can honestly say this is probably my favorite sport anime for baseball.

Pacing of plot development: So far I have watched this right from episode 1 to episode 21 and I am enjoying it. The pacing from showing their personal lives to the games they play are well balanced in my opinion. Not a lot in this series, ...

  • great continuation of the baseball family
starts off a bit frustrating with Daigo struggling with himself but gets better and better especially when they start playing official games. it is nice to see the team improve and seeing the character development. also has a great cast with both old and new characters. it's so exciting to see this great series continue on as major is one of my favorite animes. definitely worth watching, ...

  • Average Sports Anime.
I honestly had no idea this was a sequel to a pre-existing series. It doesn't feel like it's a continuation from something already established and instead seems to do a pretty good job at being it's own thing. That being said, there were moments where it felt like it could have done something new and different at certain points in the story but fell back on predictable tropes in the end. While it ...

  • New face, new beginning! MAJOR!!!
It is very nostalgic, original and new! I am truly grateful that they made a new series of Major. My favorite part is the humor and excitement that keeps you watching. I really really love the ending music as well. Hopefully this reach another 6 seasons as well. I will definitely enjoy each and every episode and season.
