  • Bittersweet, amazing artistry
There's so much to love about this anime. The depiction of characters across a wide range of ages and backgrounds, the dignity of each person, the love and care between friends and family. Not to mention the beautiful haziness of the scenery! I laughed and I cried and that was just on repeat for the entire show. Wishing for the next season to come out.

  • It's Very Good Just REALLY CEREBRAL
I did like this anime. It's very different from anything I had watched before. The animation style took some getting used to but I did like how different it was. And the relationships between the characters are really beautiful, and you truly do feel from them. But what I liked most was the feeling watching it gave me. At no point did I ever know what was going to happen next. One scene would be ...

Stunningly Good on a Number of Level
A lovely series. It reminded me a bit of Your Lie In April in that the main characters looked similar and had suffered losses. But not nearly as heart-wrenching as YLIA. The characters in this are fantastic and the writing deals with a variety of life issues.

There so much good in this series that you really need to see it yourself. The set-up in the beginning is a bit long, but after the ...

  • Fantastic development and pacing
I love this show. Not only are the characters endearing but the pacing is excellent, such a good idea to end the 2nd season on such a bittersweet moments,

As The Other House shows us that some stories untold continue after we move on, while Children of March Town cyclically ends one journey by beginning two others.

  • The realest and most touching show in existence
I cried when this series ended like I lost a whole town of best friends. March Comes in like a Lion is deep, poetically pensive, and heart warming to its core. While Rei may still be in high school, that theme takes a side seat to his shogi playing, personal growth, and his developing relationship with the people around him. Really though. I have never come across an anime that dealt with the ...

A show that keeps you smiling non-stop
Something about this show just makes your heart warm and fuzzy. Every aspect of the show is so heartwarming whether it's Nikaidou's optimism, Shimada's hometown, Momo's sheer cuteness, Akari's maternal vibes, Noguchi's "Hohoho", or Hayashida's support. There are so many more things I can list that just make you smile throughout the show. I don't think there has been any other show that made me ...

    So Refreshingly Real it Hurts
Make sure you're prepared with a box of tissues as this show will show you a range of emotions so real your heart will feel like it's in your throat. A touching slice of life piece that shines a light on so many relatable aspects of that makes you want to cry, scream and protect a character that you can't even touch. It does a great job of not being too linear with the main character and his ...

  • A show that will fill your heart
The entire journey is so sweet you can get diabetes. It's such a well-thought story that you can get to know each character both personally and emotionally. I think my favorite experience with this show is how you can look back at the first episodes and be like "Woah, how much has this character grown". And then, after each episode, you are just left with the feeling of wanting to watch more of ...

The Quintessential Slice of Life anime
Sangatsu no Lion is something of a rarity in the space of media for me, something that I a) genuinely enjoyed and b) something I can universally recommend to others no matter their taste in media. This series is something truly special. It may be the fantastic animation, the beautiful artwork, the spot on voice acting, the writing, its themes.... its just as close to truly perfect as it gets. It ...
