    I was actually very interested...
I was actually very interested during the first few minutes: great sound effects; awesome scenes; and suspenseful, too (the graphics, although, are more-or-less average, I would say.). I liked it how it began throwing hints as to what and who the main character is, his occupation, his mysterious past, and his family. As some of these unfolded, I even felt as if I was a looking at my reflection ...

  • I could watch this show forever
I don't really know what it is about it, but this is my favourite show.

I love the characters, I feel like I could just watch it forever, through their whole lives even as they grow into seniors and eventually pass on, and then I could watch their children and grandchidren.

Depression has never been more Fun
Slice of life and drama tend to be inherently ridiculous in nature. So many events happen to so few people in such a small amount of time, that the stuff can be muted in its impact by nature of its own melodrama.

March comes in like a lion solves this by having a fully fleshed out cast and by covering an impressive amount of time. In 42 episodes, covering over two years of time is a pretty ...

  • A Story of Acceptance
March Comes in Like a Lion is a masterpiece in every sense of the word.

The show deals with its characters transitioning from winter to spring. it relates to the fundamental issue of dealing with change, in some cases inevitable. Moving forward from the past is one recurring theme in the story, with different characters moving forward in their own way. Each dealing with grief, anger, ...

THIS IS NOT A SHOGI ANIME
Sangatsu no Lion, despite it's synopsis, is NOT a Shogi anime. It's a brilliant slice of life story focusing on Rei Kiriyama, a professional shogi player, and his struggles as he comes to term with his dark past and learns to be happy. Along the way, he faces his struggles, the biggest enemy being himself, but despite that, he pushes forward, and finds happiness in those around him.

    This anime ...

  • I love this anime so much. The story, the characters, the animation, and the music are all so beautiful.
I love this anime so much. The story, the characters, the animation, and the music are all so beautiful. The tone is quite different from the anime that I usually like, but this story and these characters resonate with me in a way that is rare and special. It's definitely in my top three all time favorites.

  • Best example of human emotion
To me, March comes in like a lion is a beautiful look into everyday life. Into what makes us happy and what makes us sad. What makes us feel lonely and what makes us feel complete. Parts of this show are so painful to watch because I toonhave lost my Mother. To see the way the girls deal with it brings me some closure to what happened with me. I truly care about each one of these characters even ...

  • My favorite Anime to Date
It starts off a bit slow, but if you stick with it it ends up being a heartwarming and beautiful story. The animation style is quite unique and is an artistic masterpiece. I highly recommend watching the opening and ending scenes/credits if you typically skip past those. I will say that it is not for all people. It has a large amount of dialect that can make it seem long if you are not into that ...

  • Honestly blew all my expectation and always waiting for the next episode
I was kinda late on watching this anime and I'm glad I did. The artwork has a very van gogh style to it. The character development is superb and you can really empathize with these characters. I was pretty emotional from some of the scenes. The plot starts very slowly, but it works because It is better for the characters to be mysterious. The music works well with many of the scenes. They did so ...
