Enjoyed it at the time - now reviewing I'm not sure
Ok so I did enjoy this show when I first watched it, now that I'm reviewing it I
    m not so sure.

This is a relatively unique premise as far as I can tell - Civil servants keeping the peace with the local occult - but something always seemed a bit off.

I won't go into any spoilers but there is a piece of key information which really isn't clear initially until a character literally says it ...

    ehhhh. kinda boiring
I feel like this show has the potential to be something great. But, it is lacking. One of the major things I noticed, is the animation. I really don't know how I feel about it haha. Based off of other shows that have been released, they could have done a better job on the animation aspect of the show, (and the voice acting as well. it seems......forced?). I find myself turning to my phone during ...

  • Like a more grounded version of MIB.
I think the title explains it well. Imagine Men in Black, but it's a more contemporary organization that works under the government in secrecy. Plus, all the monsters can only really be guided along as opposed to outright destroyed. The end game is to keep the balance between these fabled creatures and our world. What I love about it are the various situations and characters. The world they ...

  • A great take on supernatural in a modern setting
    Watched ep 1-15 twice

As someone who really enjoys shows that deal with fantasy/supernatural without shonen tropes or end-of-the-world drama, this anime absolutely scratches that itch. It's a down-to-earth tale of a small, professional workforce that deals with issues between humans and 'anothers', mythical creatures that most humans can't perceive or interact with.

    It's not ...

  • Can't wait for more episodes!
I don't understand all the negative reviews. I really enjoy this story, and how it flows. It reminds me a lot of the manga I used to enjoy when I was in high school. It's a shoujo that doesn't focus on romance, and I'm cool with it. However, I'll be the first to admit the dialog of the dubbed version sucks by comparison, and is often dumbed down, or loses something in translation as far as how a ...

  • The potential is there, but hasn't been realized.
Episodes 1-12 of the first season

Over all, I would probably recommend this show and I enjoyed watching it. However, the main thing I would probably criticize is the lack of an overarching storyline. I haven't read the manga so I have no idea what the format of it is but here, it's set up as a "monster of the week" show. This might be fine for some people but I found myself wanting a more ...

  • Crossing boundries and introducing a language barrier for ayakashi
This series is brilliant! It has a unique twist on not only can most not see demons, ghosts, gods, yokai, etc.; but also none who see them can understand their words. Except our awesome protagonist! He tries to make bridges and help so that they can all understand each other. I love the twists and turns, compassion and turmoil this series brings! I HIGHLY recommend it!

  • While i like this and that
While i like this i can honestly say it not the best and drag on for way to long like they knew what the end arc was and they needed to fill space. I think the arc with the guy from tokyo was that and it made me very annoyed with it. I think it a great anime with out that i give it three but it really 2 and a half stars

  • Interesting Enough To Stick With
I wouldn't say this is a great anime, but it is interesting. I like premise and the main character. I find the overall stories interesting as well, but the flow of each episode does tend to lean towards slow. I hope if they make a season 2, they'll reconsider this and pick up the pace. Otherwise I worry this will just end up becoming tedious.

  • Similar to Natsume's Book of Friends but better
Very similar to Natsume's Book of Friends but I would say I like it better. It is definitely underrated. It is similar to shows I have seen before, but it still is interesting and I enjoy watching the show. I hope it becomes more popular and we can see a 2nd season.
