  • Decent Anime I Enjoyed It.
Our m.c. can understand what the "another" are saying and he's the only one that can their are many variations of this theme throughout anime so that's nothing new. I did like most of the characters and the other beings were pretty interesting some of the situations that came up were also interesting and I felt that this anime was presented pretty well with a pretty good English dub and no fan ...

  • Natsume Yujin-cho Meets Civil Servants
If you liked Natsume Yujin-cho, you'll definitely love this series. Although execution was a little rough, the premise was absolutely fantastic. Good series to binge too if you have a free day on your hands. Although, not necessarily a great ending, but I hope a season 2 comes out soon.

  • Good idea but needs more time
I really like this show. the idea of paranormal investigation is so cool. However there are so many things left unexplored. There are too many loose treads. I feel like the show would of gotten to most go them if they had more time/more episodes. I would still watch it though.

  • ehhhh. kinda boiring
I feel like this show has the potential to be something great. But, it is lacking. One of the major things I noticed, is the animation. I really don't know how I feel about it haha. Based off of other shows that have been released, they could have done a better job on the animation aspect of the show, (and the voice acting as well. it seems......forced?). I find myself turning to my phone during ...

  • Slow start, good show
    Written post-season 1.

The show takes a while to ramp up. Character engagement doesn't necessarily click right away, but the show really takes off once certain characters are introduced.

General premise: the world is full of Anothers, creatures who are generally straight out of myths and sometimes cause trouble with the human population, most of which can't see them. Only one person can ...

  • Interesting But Oddly Written
Overall a good concept, but the writing felt lazy or slack in places.
I kept finding myself getting annoyed by either things no person would
do in such situations or outright angry over choices taken.

Episode 9 killed what hope I had for that changing.

  • Government Occult Drama
I love the idea of this show.
And this is an adult view about communication and action.

Miyako Arata is newly assigned to the Shinjuku Ward Office's Nighttime Regional Relations Department. Each of Tokyo's 23 wards has one such department, established to mitigate paranormal and occult-related events.

Arata's is a descendent of an exorcist with the ability to hear and understand paranormal ...

  • Plot holes, but neat concept
The animation is great, and character designs are likable. Still, series ending feels loose and they could've really delved into the character development. Felt shallow, but still fun. Probably not my faves, but I am looking forward to the OVAs, and would watch a second season.

  • Intriguing Premise, Alright Execution
Midnight Occult Civil Servants is an interesting show about Japanese Government Officials solving supernatural problems. It's a fun premise, the characters are solid (albeit some flat or one-note characters), and the mysteries don't outstay their welcome.

Is it perfect? Hell no, there is a lot of QUALITY sprinkled throughout the show and it was obviously not made with a supermassive budget and ...

  • A lot of potential, worth checking out
By reading the summary, you'll see why people are hopeful. There's a lot of potential in this anime. After watching until episode 6, I want to tell you about my impression.

The art, characters and voice acting are all good. The main plot is building up as the MC learns more about his power, and the sub-plots are interesting.

So far however, the series doesn't do much with it's potential. It ...
