Okay so this is a good turn to form for gundam and i loved it. I feel like it really did gundam well and added to the brand a bit in its portrayal. I feel like most people should try it out but I defiantly recommend to anyone who are into action, drama, and mecha combo. IF you like space opera then try it out too.

  • Great jumping on point for those new to Gundam.
TL;DR After multiple failed attempts to get into this pivotal franchise IBO did the trick.

IBO takes place in what is essentially a separate timeline from the rest of Gundam. Meaning you don't need to know anything in order to understand the context. The basics are that at some point mobile suites were invented, got equipped for war, then a big war happened for a really long time. We don't get ...

  • My favourite of the Gundam Series
I don't have other word to describe what I feel for this Anime but LOVE, I don't remember the last time I cried so much watching an anime, it's so down to earth in the meaning that if you're expecting the usual happy ending that you see in most animes or fairy tails, you are in the wrong place... This anime is all about fighting to survive, to accomplish what you desire with nothing else but ...

  • Raise You're Flag, and prepare to have you're heart broken more than once...
    Gundam Fights? Yep.
Solid story full of feels? Yep.
    Wired relationship shapes? You bet.
Feels so feely you will wish you had never watched, but keep going anyway? That too.

But you know what? It is all worth it for that final scene of Ep 50. I raise a flag for all the fallen, may Tekkadan live on forever in the hearts and minds of all that bare witness to there power.

All the juicy bits of a good Gundam
    Beautiful presentation
    Compelling plot
    Does NOT pull punches
Characters are good, in essence, complexity, and development
Good mix of action, intrigue, and introspection
Not a comedy, but you can probably tell after the first episode

Highly recommend, but you will probably catch a major dose of the feels. And not the fuzzy type.

    Rooted More for the Villains
Honestly, the biggest issue I have with the show is the fact that the main character is so unlikeable that I wanted him dead by the end of the first season. It's because of this and the glorification of child soldiers, which is a real issue in our world, that makes me dislike this show

However it had it's pros, the fights were well done and the politics of the world felt fleshed out as the show ...

What would it be like if...
Japanese versions of African child soldiers had cybernetic implants and piloted weapons of mass destruction? Strap in and find out. SPOILERS INCOMING.

If you were awake at any point during watching this entire series, the only characters you like are Akihiro and the harem (Naze's, not the fuck boy Mika's). Seriously, they couldn't make me less interested in MCs if they tried. I wish the entire ...

  • This series is actually pretty good.
The viewpoint and focus of this series is on the small factions instead of those larger ones. You know? The small ones that gets defeated or obliterated and only gets to have a few clips or few seconds on a "major" battle.

This is like the Stargazer but as a series. Both have viewpoints from the "side characters" if compared to the main series. For Stargazer, it's the Gundam Seed. The only ...

  • Was hooked from the beginning
Quite new to anime and other than being a huge DragonBall fan, haven't really ventured into anything else. IBO though, I don't even know where to start. I was hooked from the beginning. It ticks all the right boxes and I'd never thought I'd grow so attached to the individual characters you're exposed too. Gutted that it's over but definitely be on my list to watch again..........and again
