    Remarkable, perfect.
Season 1 was a game changer and showed me that anime genres could still be invented from a combination of beauty, rotoscoping (har), originality, creativity, and realism within the unreality.

Season 2 is not disappointing, though I will admit Ginko appears to be almost helpless compared to him actually having solutions or knowing how to save a life. In fact, he actually messes up more than ...

    A silent, stirring gem
This series is like one brief moment staring itno a pond at your reflection and all the emotions and questions you turn away from that moment with well, that's this show. A very calm, well paced and unique show about a "doctors" journeys. This show is so special because it has only one character to really focus on and the supernatural element of this series is an unique perspective of a boring ...

  • Unique and amazing series
Mushi-shi has a power that draws you in like a spell, it is absolutely beautiful in the way that traditional Japanese paintings and etchings are- minimalist with muted color but with powerful emotion. I absolutely recommend watching it- you don't have to see the previous season first. I began watching this recently and have yet to see the first season; it was instantly captivating.

  • One of the best animes I have ever seen
In some sense I have grown up on this anime. Not in the sense that I watched it my whole life as it has not been around long enough but in the sense of that it was one of my first real anime (yugioh was probably one of my first "anime" though). It is fantastic and this sequel series is epic though I still wish they had the original song the new song is pretty good and show the emotional nature of ...

  • Ginko--The Mushi-shi
I found myself hooked since the very beginning. Ginko is a Mushi-shi that investigates the characteristics and countermeasures of Mushi which are organisms that can only be seen by certain types of people--People like Ginko. Ginko is a drifter whose background story is absolutely vague but he seems to have all the answers on dealing with Mushi. I've never ...

  • Best episodic anime.
I've been watching anime casually for around 15 years and Mushishi is my favorite. The art, music, themes, and characters mesh so well together. It feels perfectly polished and doesn't utilize any cheap anime, tv, or movie tactics to entice the viewer. It's just a great story, told in the best manner possible. I'm looking forward to the digital rerelease of the manga as I have yet to be able to ...

  • A true sequel; story telling and all
WIth a following already from it's first season many, many years back; Mushi-shi season two had to keep itself interesting while still paying homage back to the original. This season does that with flying colors; every episode is a unique story of a new mushi-shi and a new location. The viewer will never tire of the completely different and vibrant locales that this anime takes place in.

    Due to ...

  • I love this anime!!!
I love every minute of this anime. I was so excited when I heard that there was a second season. I loved the first season and the second season is just as good. The music, animation, and characters have such a relaxing feel to them. I love how each episode deals with different problems.

  • Bravo! Amazing work!
Some people find this anime depressing or tragic, but is a really good outlook on Japanese folk stories. Creepy and beautiful at the same time, this would be a good look on the Japanese Shinto beliefs. Is a bit mild when it comes to action but is packed with adventure. I highly recommend it. Enjoy!
