Just as amazing as the first series.
Mushi-shi has been one of the 5 shows that I've given a 10 rating to in 10+ years of anime, and over 450 series.

It doesn't play into generic tropes, it is its own thing and has its own story to tell. Any given episode the character Ginko's dealing with might end up dead or in a horrible situation since he's not omnipotent or the like..

The stories don't rush themselves, and the ost is ...

    A stunning work of art
Absolutely beautiful and poetic anime. I enjoy every episode and I never feel unsatisfied. Each episode holds so much meaning, and each are imaginative and unique. Both the first season and this season are stunning masterpieces.
If you haven't seen the first season, go watch it first and then watch this one! Each episode can stand on its own, but the first season does have some details that makes ...

    Loved This One Immediately
From the first time I saw this anime, I loved it. One I do greatly wish was a little longer though. It is actually an anime where you can view it out of order and still greatly enjoy (although that does go against my OCD tendencies)
Each episode is it's own story with characters and plots you quickly become invested in. Only occasionally are you treated to the backstory of the main protagonist, ...

    Mushi-shi a refreshing break
So we are four episodes into the new season and what a wonderful return it has been! I for one was waiting for the return of Mushi-shi as, ever since watching the first season, I have fallen in love with the art style, story and originality of this superb anime.
Anime has started to become a medium of a medium, in my eyes, what once was a respectful medium to tell a story has now become a ...

A Relaxing Sequel to the Series
There's always a fair amount of fear with a series as beloved as this that a sequel, (especially after several years) will not meet the high expectations attached to them. In this case however I feel comfortable enough after only three episodes to assuredly claim it's continuation of amazing quality, doubly so considering it's episodic nature.

I'd like to highlight the wonderful opening song, ...

Beautiful, I would like to simply stare at the blue sky... but reviews are for words.
Mushishi is literally, a unique medium upon itself. If anime wanted to be portrayed as artistic and thoughtful, I would point to Ghibli and Mushishi of shining examples of what this sort of animation can accomplish. A simple, yet effective story, that shines upon us, a glimmer of humanity and the world that we live in. Really, it would do this series a dis-service to keep prattling on.

    Fantastic nostalgia! OVA review
Regarding the first season: Mushi-shi is an anime that really shows how beautiful anime can really be, rather then your usual high school animes. Mushi-shi is in it's sense a different genre of anime. The series is episodic with each show having they're own individual stories. There are few reoccurring characters throughout the series, so you can watch the series in pretty much any order you like. ...

    Amazingly Brillant!!!
Mushi-shi is my All time favorite anime. It keeps me thrilled and makes me want to watch more. Its the anime vivid colors and spontaneous nature thank makes it breath taking. When watching the anime, you never know what's going to happen next. The anime actually makes you feel like you got an experience from watching it. The low reviews are just because compared to the original series, the OVA was ...

    An Excellent Example
I have watched anime for years and I must say that this is one of the few anime that I would recommend to everyone as It's an original, simple and captivating series that doesn't try to become something that it's not and really just simply does its best to simply tell several captivating tales. This stands as a splendid example of how an anime can be great without long arcs, dramatic fights, a ...

Wonderful OVA or New Season I hope
Best Mushi-Shi to date and my wife and I love this anime. It's got beautiful colors and it never gets boring. You can watch absolutely any episode and be enthralled by the acting and this beautiful fictional world that they bring to life with every stroke of the pencil. If you haven't see the first season (I hope this is the beginning of a new season and not just a one time movie) I would even ...
