  • Beautiful, and sad but in a beautiful way..
I remember coming across Mushi-shi a long time ago, I watched the first season(?) a good bit and really found myself enjoying it. The story is more or less episodic which makes it great for a viewer to sit down, relax and just enjoy a short tale of this mystical world that is Mushi-shi.

Unlike most animes out there the protagonist is more or less just an anchor for you the series, he is ...

  • Boundlessly unique. Wonderful.
Mushi-Shi is unlike any other anime I have ever watched, and I've watched a good bit. The art, music, characters, and story are all creatively done. I just LOVE the opening song. Lucy Rose is great. There's a lesson to learn in every episode, for real. It's great. 5/5, highly recommend to any mature person.

  • Quietly gorgeous and addictive simple storytelling
I really like anime that follow a quieter, more contemplative feel -- and of all the titles I've enjoyed for a couple of decades now, Mushi-shi is easily one of the best. It doesn't need flash and boisterous art to impress... but economy of such. What is there though, is extremely well done... the background art is some of the best I've seen in anime not from movie budgets. The energy saved in ...

  • Mushi-Shi will take you on a calming, supernatural journey through Japan.
This anime follows Ginko, a mushi master who researches and aids people with their mushi trouble. Mushi are creatures few can see, but can cause anything from a slight inconvenience to a catastrophe.

What sets this anime apart from others is first, the episodic nature of the series. Ginko is often the only character that you see intertwined in the stories of people and mushi.

    Second, the ...

  • Mushishi: Haikus about bugs
This is not a typical anime, both in terms of the story and the structure. There aren't any giant robots or magic explosions. And it's primarily episodic. There is a little bit of a back-story that slowly unfolds, revealing our hero's origins, but each episode stands on its own. The essentialized art and story remind me of the essentialized beauty of haiku. It has just what it needs, and nothing ...

  • Excellent Anime!!!!!
This is a very unique and immersive anime, the style of the anime is very beautiful and unique. Each episode is different and exciting to watch, I also love how realistic the anime can be, even though it deals with fictional creatures. Not to mention how cool Ginko is, 10 out of 10

  • Amazing Story and Quality
Mushi-shi may not have been the first anime I have watched but it is definitely the best, I see that CR only have season 2 uploaded however I highly recommend watching season 1 as well.
The story is heart touching and every story however unrelated to the next episode contributes in every way, some parts make you laugh, some cry, but none feel out of place or poorly made, this is the way an anime ...

    Mushishi is really good!
Mushishi is a really nice series. I remember when I first started watching it and I thought it was kind of strange and that the characters all looked the same. The characters do look similar but that's ok since they are usually there just for that episode. I like how each episode has it's own story. There are no cliffhangers. This show is different than most shows because there is no fanservice or ...

  • Sunday seance, horay! New episode every Sunday, of peacefull yet enchanting stories
There used to be all of the episodes from the first season, that came out in 2006, on Crunchyroll that was possible to watch. Now it seems it's just the title with photos and comments and reviews. It is possible to see the first season named only, Mushi shi on f.eks. funimation, or you can look up other web sites. I must get round to bying some of the original manga - comicbook series, for my ...

    Remarkable, perfect.
Season 1 was a game changer and showed me that anime genres could still be invented from a combination of beauty, rotoscoping (har), originality, creativity, and realism within the unreality.

Season 2 is not disappointing, though I will admit Ginko appears to be almost helpless compared to him actually having solutions or knowing how to save a life. In fact, he actually messes up more than ...
