  • An Anime For Everyone in the Family
This anime is so wonderfully written - it is not easy to write a story that everyone in your family can enjoy and relate to. There's humor, friendship, the difficulties of growing up and being misunderstood, the hope of better days, etc. In this season you get to know Natsume and oh one episode is so heartbreaking. If you liked the other seasons you will not be disappointed.

  • Wonderful, Simple, and Spectacular
This is a wonderful anime filled with likeable characters, a wonderful storyline, funny, sad, and beautiful moments. I highly recommend this anime to anyone who enjoyed watching anime similar to Mushi-shi. Overall it is simple yet profound way of demonstrating the power of friendships and bonds.

  • This Series is Sui Generis
I really appreciate the characters and the storyline. Takashi Natsume's persona is gentle and soothing. Madara (an ayakashi that guards Yakashi) adds humor to the series and is a fitting counterpart for Takashi. It is funny and heart-warming to watch Madara develop an attachment to Takashi throughout the series. The music is good too! I enjoyed the opening so much that I did not skip it as I ...

  • This Surprised to me!
It's one of those anime's, that you weren't expecting to be good, but it turns out to be really amazing! Then you start watching it more and more and get caught up in it and it's emotions that it just catches you and hold you hostage until the end. Now I'm trying to find different and amazed animes that is similar, because it was really good!

  • A Great Continuation of a Great Series
Natsume Yujin-cho Shi, a great continuation of the original series. If you have not watched the original series I must strongly recommend you tag this into your queue and go seek out that series and watch it first before watching this. Unlike some sequel series that have slight changes in either animation, storytelling or even character or lack of character development this show picks up right ...

  • a brilliant new season
simple brilliant but you need to watch the seasons before this. in this arc of the story the characterisation and plot are continued brilliantly. the season is slightly darker than the last one with Natsume having to deal with the threat of serious enemies from the start. while Natsume does posse considerable spiritual power this new seasons continues the journey of him getting to know himself and ...

  • So many feels.......
Highly recommended. Make sure you check out the earlier episodes. Natsume can see yokai(spirits/gods/demons from japanese folklore) and has inherited the book of friends from his grandmother who had the same gift/curse. Natsume's grandmother tricked many yokai in to giving up their names. Now Natsume wants to return their names , as well as help anyone who needs it, humans and yokai aline. great ...

  • Mesmerizing and Heart-felt
This is an absolutely beautiful series. One of my favorites, for sure! The characters (human and yokai) and the story line really tug at your heart-strings. Even the change in the seasons just draws you in and captivates you. I would definitely recommend watching this series, you won't regret it.

  • A worthy to season to an exceptional series
This season of Natsume has more two-parters and commercial break cliffhangers than previous seasons, but it didn't distract too much from the quality storytelling and production values. There were also a lot more episodes from a different character focus (where most previous had been focused on Natsume) in the interests of filling in backstory -- which seems to be the modus operandi of this ...

  • One of the Classics.
The story of Natsume isn't anything ground breaking; it's an episodic show, with the occasional mini-arc, regarding the ayakashi that invade Natsume's life, demanding his attention.

However, what is special are the restrained character arcs of the main cast that move every episode. The changes from Season 1 through season 4 are great, but the progression of things is gentle and ...
