  • Director Mamoru Oshii Wins Windsor McCay Award for Lifetime Achievement in Animation

    Oshii is the 6th Japanese animator to win the prestigious award from the International Animated Film Society

    Mamoru Oshii - the director of such animated films as Ghost in the Shell (1995), Angel's Egg, and Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer - will be receiving the Windsor McCay Award for his contributions to the medium of animation during the 44th Annie Awards, an industry event sponsored by the International Animated Film Society.
