July 29 marks the first day in 29 years that the city of Chichibu will have a theater to call its own with United Cinemas opening up just around the corner of Chichibu Station. To mark the opening, a film close to the hearts of the populace will be shown in commemoration of the event – Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day The Movie. Details after the jump!
The Super Peace Busters are moving away from Chichibu a little and will be collaborating with the oldest amusement park in Japan, Asakusa's Hanayashiki. The characters from Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day will feature around the park and as well as a new visual that oozes Asakusa style that can be seen after the jump!
The sequel story that Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day director Tatsuyuki Nagai teased back in July may actually be a reality ... in a way. During the 10th anniversary celebrations of the series in Chichibu, it was revealed that a reading of a new story written by series screenwriter Mari Okada will be staged that feature the Super Peace Busters 10 years after the anime series. The 10th-anniversary celebrations for Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day keeps chugging along, this week announcing that the hometown for the series, Chichibu, will see its trains wear the TV anime series. Chichibu Railway's SL Paleo Express steam train will have an Anohana head plate, while the regular trains will be decked out in Anohana decals. Check out the trains after the jump!
