    Three SEGA projects are planned for the area

    A mere week after the tearful farewell of SEGA Ikebukuro GiGO on September 20, Sunshine Street shines brightly again with a brand new SEGA arcade set to open across the street from the old GiGO building – the first of three projects from the arcade chain. The Twitter account for SEGA Ikebukuro shared the first look at the first Ikebukuro project today which can be seen after the jump!

    The Twitter account for Sega Ikebukuro GiGO, one of the most iconic buildings on Sunshine Street in the heart of downtown Ikebukuro, revealed yesterday that it will be closing up shop on September 20, 2021. This is just the latest Sega arcade to close in Tokyo, with one of Akihabara's own iconic Sega arcades closing last August. Learn more after the jump.
