  • Japan Ends COVID-19 Quasi-State of Emergency For All Prefectures Today

    The country is looking to raise entry caps to 10,000 people per day

    After two full months, the Japanese government will be lifting the quasi-State of Emergency restrictions as cases and hospitalizations fall today. While the current 6th COVID-19 wave in Japan is still high compared to previous waves, cases are dropping dramatically across the island nation, giving the government confidence to let current restrictions lapse today.   • Japan Extends Quasi-State of Emergency Again for 18 Prefectures As Flight Restrictions Ease

    The 13 other prefectures will see Quasi-State of Emergency eased

    The Japanese government confirmed today that the quasi-State of Emergency to prevent the spread of COVID-19 will continue in 18 prefectures past the March 6 deadline until March 21, including the metropolitan Tokyo and Osaka areas.   • Japan Extends Quasi-State of Emergency For 13 Prefectures Until Early March

    Kochi to be included in the new extension

    The NHK, Japan’s national broadcaster, is reporting that the Japanese government will be extending the current quasi-State of Emergency for 13 prefectures until March 6 to combat the continually increasing COVID-19 spread, including Tokyo and the surrounding prefectures. Kochi prefecture will also be added to the group starting February 12. More after the jump.

    Voice actor Natsuki Hanae's talent agency, Across Entertainment, announced today on their website that the voice actor, who is best known as the voice behind Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba's male lead Tanjiro, has recovered from COVID-19 after treatment and on the advice of the local health center, was allowed to return to work starting today.   • Demon Slayer’s Zenitsu VA Hiro Shimono Tests Positive for COVID-19 for a 2nd Time

    Shimono previously tested positive in July 2021

    The agency for voice actor Hiro Shimono, I'm Enterprise revealed today that Shimono has once again tested positive for COVID-19 after contracting the disease back in July 2021. The agency noted that Shimono was already under self-quarantine after being deemed a close contact for a few days and underwent a PCR test due to this. More after the jump.
