Happy birthday to Gabriel DropOut fan-favorite Satanichia McDowell Kurumizawa! Along with a tribute from manga author Ukami and the anime's Twitter feed, Naomi Ozora, the character's voice actress and Miyu Tomita, Gab's, checked in. Get a look after the jump.
On July 2nd, Miyu Tomita (voice of Gab), Saori Ōnish (Vigne), Naomi Ōzora (Satania) and Kana Hanazawa (Raphi), along with MC Tsuyoshi Koyama (the homeroom teacher) reunite at Yamano Hall for a Gabriel DropOut Angels and Devils Classroom Visit event. A visual has the girls enjoying the summer sun, and a preview of event goods has offered a chance for fans to prepare their budgets.
For SOME reason, 420 is the birthday of Gabriel White Tenma, the chronically unmotivated lead of Gabriel DropOut. Other than some proposed fan pilgrimages, few folks did much to celebrate. The anime's Twitter just posted screenshots. Manga author Ukami just retweeted. Naoko Kuwabara, the animator of the opening and ending, ran a favorite look poll with the suggestion of maybe drawing a pin-up... jersey won at 33%, followed by swimsuit, Angel Coffee uniform and school uniform.
From March 18 to April 2, Gamers' main store in Akihabara is holding "Gabriel DropOut Museum," a special pop-up shop section dedicated to the TV anime adaptation of Ukami's comedy manga series in the museum space on its seventh floor. The space recreates the classroom of Maiten High School that the main girls go in the story. Check the photo report after the jump!
The final trumpet was blown today as the Gabriel DropOut anime wrapped up with episode 12, titled, well... "Gabriel DropOut." If you watched the previous episode's post-credit stringer, you'll know that Gab's hinted-at older sister makes her appearance this week, and, they got a noted voice actress for the role. Publisher Yen Press closed out the week with announcements of two new series, both set to debut in October. Ukami's 2013 four volume ongoing manga Gabriel DropOut, inspiration for this series' anime, is joined by Riku Ayakawa's 2015 two-volume manga adaptation of Masamune Kuji and Hisasi's Hybrid × Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia, which also inspired a summer 2016 TV anime.
