  • "Game Of Thrones" Cameos Coming To "Attack on Titan" Manga

Last fall author did a 60-hour binge-watch of Game of Thrones: Seven Kingdoms Senki

Hajime Isayama is a rather heavy media consumer. Or at least, he enjoys talking about it. He watches/reads/plays Japanese movies, anime, manga and games. He watches Western movies and TV (though, perhaps surprisingly, he doesn't have a big history with zombie flicks). And, these influences and references make their way into the Attack on Titan manga. Last fall, he did a 60-hour binge-watch of Game of Thrones: Seven Kingdoms Senki.

  • 60-Hour Binge-Watch Makes A "Game Of Thrones" Fanatic Out Of "Attack On Titan" Author

In mid-November, Isayama started watching Game of Thrones: Seven Kingdoms Senki. He left the whole thing dead on the battlefield

Attack on Titan author Hajime Isayama has an interesting list of media inspirations. Visual novel series Muv-Luv, definitely. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. The Frank Darabont adaptation of Stephen King's The Mist. Actually, less zombie material than you might imagine. He's played Resident Evil, but not seen the Romero movies. Now add to that Game of Thrones. Stated on his blog, Game of Thrones is going to be an influence as AoT moves into its final phase.
