    The cyberpunk future is going a bit more mainstream, because issue #2208 of anan - a weekly lifestlye magazine aimed at Japanese women that focuses on fashion, food, and entertainment - features a cover illustration of Major Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 drawn by series character designer Ilya Kuvshinov.     New full 3DCG series will premiere on Netflix on April 23

    The official website and Twitter for Ghost in The Shell SAC_2045 has posted 14 character arts by its character designer Ilya Kuvshinov. In addition to the series' regular members: Motoko, Batou, Aramaki, and Togusa, the collection also includes the new characters for the forthcoming 3DCG series, such as Purin Esaki, Standard, John Smith, Kurisu Otomo Teito, and a mysterious boy whose details have not yet been revealed.

    The new Stand Alone Complex series will be released on Netflix worldwide in April

    The newest Ghost in the Shell TV anime sees a return to the Stand Alone Complex format not seen since 2006. The Kenji Kamiyama directed franchise, based on the manga by Shirow Masamune, had a new trailer streamed today announcing the full returning cast from Stand Alone Complex – who were replaced for the Arise series – as well as a release date for the series.
