    CONTRAIL, an animation production company based in Tokyo, has released the second production preview video for director Sunao Katabuchi's (Black Lagoon, In This Corner of the World) yet-titled latest anime film.     Director Sunao Katabuchi wants to look further than tales set in those times

    The official Twitter account for anime studio CONTRAIL, set up by In This Corner of the World anime film director Sunao Katabuchi for his next film, confirmed that the next film is now in production and that it'll be set in Kyoto during the Heian period around 1,000 years ago.   • Japanese Fans Rank the Most Impressive Modern Anime Films

    The ranking doesn't include sequels to TV anime or omnibus films – and surprisingly, Studio Ghibli films!

    Over the last 10 years, anime as an industry has grown immensely, thanks in part due to the massive box office growth of anime films in theaters. Japanese survey site Rankingoo asked 10,314 people what they thought was the most impressive anime film of the last decade, barring sequels to TV anime and compilation films.     The World War II drama film continues to receive international acclaim

    The 129-minute original version of the anime film adaptation of Fumiyo Kouno's award-winning manga Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni / In This Corner of the World was released in Japan on November 12, 2016.
