    A man from Shizuoka prefecture who was a “devoted fan of Love Live! Sunshine!!” has been handed down a two-year prison term with a four-year suspended sentence for stealing over 80,000 yen (US$590) of school equipment from schools in the local area over a period of a couple of weeks during the summer of 2021, wanting to recreate his youth.     The man earned 3.2 million yen (US$28,000) for his books

    The NHK reported today that a 28-year-old civil servant working in Hiratsuka City in Kanagawa Prefecture was suspended for 6 months without pay for publishing four light novel books, which earned him 3.2 million yen (US$28,000), while on sick leave from his full-time job, breaking the Local Public Service Act.
