    Mamoru Oshii-directed first Patlabor anime film was originally released in Japan in 1989

    The 4DX version of Patlabor The Movie was released in 56 theaters in Japan on July 17, 2020, earning an impressive 26 million yen on 10,000 ticket sales in its first three days.   • Patlabor: The Movie Gets 4DX Screenings in Japan from April 17

    The first feature film in the Patlabor anime franchise was released on July 15, 1989

    GENCO Corporation, which manages the copyrights for the Mobile Police Patlabor series, and United Cinema Corporation have announced that they will begin showing the 4DX version of Patlabor The Movie in 48 theaters in Japan from April 17, 2020.   • Yuko Nitou's "Mobile Police Patlabor" 1989 OP Song EP Gets Reissued on Vinyl

    TV anime "Mister Ajikko" OP song "Renaissance Jounetsu" is also available

    As part of the "RECORD STORE DAY" campaign being held in Japan today, Japanese idol Yuko Nitou's fourth single "Sonomama no Kimi de ite" gets reissued on vinyl.   • Kazunori Ito Confirms He is Attached to "Patlabor EZY" Project

    "Though it won't be realized anytime soon, I am working on it anyway."

    After GENCO's announcement at Annecy International Animation Film Festival, 62-year-old Kazunori Ito confirmed on his official Twitter that he has been attached to the Patlabor EZY project. He is one of the five members of Headgear, the team who created the Patlabor franchise, and worked as the main scenario writer for its anime series. Hit the jump for more details.
