    Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the birthday of "Gag Manga King" Fujio Akatsuka (1935-2008), a new Osomatsu-san TV inspired by his Osomatsu-kun with its child characters grown-up, is now scheduled to debut October 5th. Idol Unit AŌP (Ace of Diamond, Insufficient Direction) has been introduced as the performers of theme song "Hanamaru Pippira is the Only Good Girl."

    Three new cast members have been added to the upcoming Osomatsu-kun anime celebrating the 80th anniversary of the birth of "Gag Manga King" Fujio Akatsuka. Yōji Ueda (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure's Robert E.O. Speedwagon, Durarara's Kisuke Adabashi) will voice good-nature Dekapan, while  Nobuo Tobita (Zeta Gundam's Kamille Bidan) is gluttonous Dayōn and Momoko Saitō is Hatabō, an otherwise normal boy with a flag stuck in his skull.

    1962-69 manga was previously adapted into 1966 and 1988 anime series

    Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the birthday of "Gag Manga King" Fujio Akatsuka (1935-2008), a new TV anime adaptation of Osomatsu-kun has been announced. Gintama's Yoichi Fujita will be directing the Studio Pierrot production with Saint Young Men's Naoyuki Asano handling character designs.
