    GKIDS and Fathom Events team up for limited theatrical screenings on September 06 & 10, 2018

    Perfect Blue, a landmark psychological thriller theatrical anime film directed by Satoshi Kon and based on the novel by Yoshikazu Takeuchi, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its release in Japan, and now New York-based film distributor GKIDS and Fathom Events are teaming up for a set of limited screenings in U.S. theaters in September of 2018.   • Get Creeped Out By Poster And Trailer For UK's Halloween 20th Anniversary "Perfect Blue" Screenings

    All The Anime will be presenting an event screening in the UK on October 27th, expanding on 31st (in Japanese with English subtitles).

    Perfect Blue: Metamorphosis will be released on December 12

    Seven Seas Entertainment has announced the license acquisition of the two Perfect Blue novels by Yoshikazu Takeuchi, the first of which was the inspiration for Satoshi Kon’s animated film masterpiece. Perfect Blue: Metamorphosis will be released on December 12, 2017 for $14.99 USA / $16.99 CAN and Perfect Blue: Awaken from a Dream will be released on April 24, 2018 for $14.99 USA / $16.99 CAN.

  • Tiger Lab Vinyl To Present "Perfect Blue" Soundtrack On LP For The First Time Ever

    Tiger Lab Vinyl has announced that they are again teaming with Madhouse for their third release. Following Wicked City and Devilman: The Rebirth, they will next be presenting Masahiro Ikumi’s original score to to the classic 1997 Satoshi Kon psychological thriller Perfect Blue on vinyl. Orders open on their site on July 21st, with records schedule to ship midOctober. More after the jump.
