    SKE48 and Hinatazaka46 handshake events, ANIMAX MUSIX NEXTAGE canceled

    As cases of coronavirus rise in Japan, more events and appearances get canceled or limited in the country. Today, multimedia company Bushiroad canceled all hosted events up until March 18, the ANIMAX MUSIX NEXTAGE was canceled and the 14th Annual Seiyu Awards, scheduled for March 7, would be limiting attendance, with the after-show reception canceled.   • SKE48 Idol Akane Takayanagi to Make Guest Voice Appearance in Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki's Next Episode

    Saetta (Jingai-san no Yome)-produced TV anime is now simulcast on Crunchyroll

    27-year-old Akane Takayanagi, a member of Japanese female idol group SKE48, will make a guest voice appearance as a narrator in the next fifth episode of the Yatogame-chan Kansatsu Nikki TV anime to be aired in Japan on May 2. She was born in Nagoya-city, Aichi Prefecture, where the anime's main story takes place. Hit the jump for more details.

  • Another "Gokujyo" Episode Declared Unfit for Broadcast

    Episode three to stream online for free instead, same as episode one

    It will be interesting to see just how much of the adaptation of Maya Miyazaki's Gokujyo ~Gokurakuin Joshikouryou Monogatari~ (roughly "Gokujyo ~Tales from the Gokuraku Girls Dormitory") actually makes it to the air.
