It is officially announced in this year's 21st issue of Weekly Shonen Jump released today in Japan that a special standalone short story for Saki Hasemi (story) and Kentaro Yabuki (art)'s To Love-Ru romantic comedy manga series will be published in the magazine's next 22nd/23rd combined issue to be available in Japan this Saturday, April 27. Today Viz debuts the first digital collection of Sket Dance author Kenta Shinohara's new Astra Lost In Space. Print follows on December 5th. What's working out nicely for them is that, all of a sudden, Japanese internet adores art that To Love-Ru illustrator Kentaro Yabuki did in support of the series' Shounen Jump + digital run - with a viral push through the matome blogs.
In March, while To Love-Ru Darkness was ending, plans were announced for an OVA, a 10th anniversary book, and a life-sized Lala statue in the works. The anime and book were supposed to be out August 4th, got pushed back to November 2nd. With the book now available for order, One-Punch Man artist Yusuke Murata previewed his contribution.
Newly-established figure company FOTS JAPAN has previewed its first item, 1/8 scale pre-painted PMMA figure of Mikan Yuuki, inspired by one of the main heroines in the To Love-Ru Darkness manga/anime franchise.
