If you've been looking for a way to get into Toukiden 2 without throwing down the full asking price, Koei Tecmo has a solution. Toukiden 2: Free Alliances is a free-to-play version that's set to hit PS4 and PS Vita in North America on May 30 and Europe on May 31, offering up a straightforward entry point that includes stamina-replenishing micro-transactions.

Koei Tecmo revealed western release dates for Toukiden 2, which is coming to PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and Steam in North America on March 21, followed by Europe on March 21. Set after the events of Toukiden: Kiwami, Toukiden 2 was previously announced for an "early 2017" launch in the west. Koei Tecmo narrowed that down a little further this week, and the action-RPG is now set for a spring 2017 launch in North America and Europe. Koei Tecmo released a demo for Toukiden 2 in Japan, allowing players to take their save data over to the fully game when it hits PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PS Vita in Japan on July 28.
