    Best Musical Drama Ever
Your Lie in April, La Corda D'Oro, and White Album got nothing on this.

The best part about this drama is how relate-able the characters are. Some of us are the perfectionist Chiaki's out there. Some of us are the happy go lucky Nodame's.

    Nodame Cantabile is life.

One of the Best doramas ever.
I have seen the entire animation series, and although they differ slightly from the dorama and dorama movies it is not as blatant as other series like... death note for example. This dorama was very very well produced, excellently cast, the actors really make the characters come to life from the original series. Esp Nodame and Chiaki. And overal stays in the focus of the theme. It focuses on the ...

    Excellent and Fun!!!
Nodame Cantabile is my all-time favorite anime series (me being a music geek and all). So I was excited that Crunchyroll picked up the live action series in lieu of no one licensing the animated series. I was also a little skeptical as I didn't really know how well the physical gags and the eccentric characters would come off.

Despite my initial skepticism, everything about this version is well ...

  • Absolutely beautiful
Even though I haven't really watched a lot of Japanese dramas, I can say this for sure: this series was absolutely mind blowing. The characters were well-done and convincing. The story/plot took many turns but it turned out great in the end. Many memorable moments from this series and I really truly hope that the other seasons of the anime also gets a live action. I haven't watch the anime yet ...

  • Best Live Action Series I Have Seen
I have seen this live action series, read the manga, and seen the anime version. This is the best of those. The manga won the Kondansha award for manga for that year. The actress in the live action version won best actress in a drama, and the live action series won a award for best drama of the year. All of the background music is classical music, as well as the major pieces the actors ...

  • A great story, wonderful characters, lovely music
I'm a bit of a fanboy about Nodame, being one of the first Anime series I ever saw. This jdorama really brings the manga to life, and when I think of Nodame, I will always think of Ueno Jura. This version differs a bit from when the original was broadcast, but not in any major way, typically a few scenes that were not in the original that provide a bit more background / color. The characters ...

  • Excellent Solid Show
I have watched this show multiple times, I am glad Crunchyroll picked it up. I often watch it when I have artist's/writer's block. The characters face real internal challenges and obstacles.

I can always enjoy small missed details when revisiting this series.

  • Live action is a great hilarious adaptation
I remember when this came out years ago. It is an amazingly funny adaptation of the anime into a live action. Sure you can tell not everyone is actually able to play their instruments. It doesnt matter. The comedy is top notch and you cant beat Naoto Takenaka in a damn wig pretending to be British.

    A must watch!

Madcap Musical fun darn I needed an M there at the end
I remember they put the drama here including the specials on crunchy loooong ago. It was so good back then and good now. Every character seems to have a major trauma they deal with trough music, specially Megumi Noda "Nodame"(Juri Ueno), or bebe chan, is a garbage piling, slob, and seems to be an idiot savant. Her talent was cut short over an abusive teacher yet she still played. She has this ...

This show was so much fun to watch, as soon as I finished the last episode I was on amazon to buy the sequel and the 2 movies that followed. I can't wait to see what happens next!

The performances were splendid and the actors really look like they're playing their respective instruments. If you're anything like me with anime/jdorama cute couples you'll be on the edge of your seat eagerly ...
