    Amazing show, amazing soundtrack
This is quite he fantastic show and one of my all time favourites. Superb character development and riveting story line as the protagonists (assasins) go about thwarting an ancient organization (kinda like Knights Templars), being skilled assasins, and trying to unravel their mysterious pasts, especially Kirika's, the effortless natural killer.

BUT...BUT...HOLY FUCKING CHRIST IS THE SOUNDTRACK ...

Great Show with great sound track
Glad CR got this, It's a great show with a killer sound track. The flashbacks are bit overused but it's still great! I had the sound tracks as well as the DVDs. Part of the "Girls With Guns" trilogy I recommend all three. Also recommend Gunsmith Cats.

    Decent show; exceptional music
Aside from a few very memorable scenes, I found the main story to be rather bland and predictable, but in hindsight I think that can largely be attributed to a pacing issue. I think the story could have been better told using far fewer episodes, but fans of slower-paced anime might find it a good fit.

The art is solid, and delivers a feeling of realism that helps to create a fitting ...

  • poetic mystery rather than modern action thriller
I enjoyed that very little emphasis was placed on blood and more so on technique, choreography, foreshadowing and metaphor. It's a poetic experience more so than a thrill-maker, so it might feel uninteresting to people looking only for action. There's definitely great action but it's not going to be about strength. It'll be about skill. Not for people who just want things to happen, since the ...

  • An amazing anime all around.
As the mother of all gun-girl anime, it's no surprise the genre did so well. The music score was amazing, and it really stands the test of time. I've been meaning to watch this anime for at least 10 years. I'm sorry it took me so long to watch, but I'm so glad I watched it. This is definitely one of my favorite anime.

  • Great Girls with Guns anime.
The animation style shows its age here but it was pretty good for its time. I'm apparently going against the other reviews in saying that I didn't care for the soundtrack as much as they did. The story and characters are what made this such an entertaining series these two are quite good at what they do and are deadly assassin's just try and keep up with the body count you learn to understand ...

    Too slow moving to watch
Everything else about this anime seems decent, but the long pauses where nothing is happening are intolerable. Edit it down to half the running time and it would be a good show. If you plan on watching this, bring a book to read during the slow parts.

Don't kid yourself, you are mostly here for the music.
I'm not a reviewer, so I take everything Anrita has already mentioned. Bad pacing. Exceptional music by Yuki Kajiura, see I can remember her name, that is how good it is. Original work? I am not a reviewer so again, see Anrita's review. If you do watch it, the only ones I can recommend are Episodes 1, 6, 9, 10 and 20 to end.
