One of those "only in Japan" moments
Whenever one of these strange short series shows up, they usually end up being much more enjoyable than I was expecting. As bizarre as the thumbnail looks, I gave this one a chance and watched the first 3 episodes, and I really can't think of a good way to describe this. There's just no.....point to it at all, not even a nonsensical one. You know those animes that are extremely weird but are still ...

    Don’t be fooled by appearances!
Onara Gorou is high art; a masterful, deeply deconstructive analysis of a long-held social taboo! It alters one’s perspective on its cultural significance, exploring such themes as fart romance and the meaning of life for digestive gases, and using these themes to demonstrate poignant, thought-provoking truths…

…What’s that? You think I’m talking out of my ass? Pffffft!

    From the creator of ...

    Fart Man is the hero!
Gorō is little more than expelled gas, but he appears knowledgeable about, physiology among other things. These short vignettes show he has a Gaseous wisdom in confronting everyday problems. This is a project of Independent anime creator, Takashi Taniguchi. It was originally started as an animation of the Japanese crowdfunding website Makuake for about $14,000US. This shows Onara Gorō, the ...

Anime is (f)art - Onara Goro
When my SO and I were scrolling through Crunchyroll to take a look at what we were going to watch next, we were both taken aback by Onara Goro's show art. "What in the .... is that?!?" we agreed.

Well, impetuously, we started and finished it all in one evening. Onara Goro is certainly an experience. I don't want to say it is particularly good, but it is also not actively terrible. There ...

Japan Happens. Question Your Life Choices.
I see you are here, reading a review of Onara Goro. I have just finished watching all 13 episodes. I'm barely sure what to say...

It's Japanese. Like WAY Japanese. That's the only way I can describe the humor. While a lot of the jokes are just...passable...there were a couple that actually made me laugh really hard - an impressive feat, considering the trite comedy material. The overall concept ...

    This is honestly GOAT
This anime had everything. Romance, Comedy, and even horror similar to that of Yamishibai which I also recommend. I cannot believe how many times I have been outplayed by this anime. Even Abunai Sisters can't measure up to the likability of this anime.

    Very different very farty
after watching many variations on the same themes, executed in many different ways. Onara Goro is unique which makes it worthy of watching. the show has a individual art style which though simple is very well adhered too. also great bait on the 11th episode which could and should be watched.
