  • One word: CUTE. It will make you smile.
I must admit that when this show was first aired, without knowing anything except that it's geared toward BL fans, I watched the first few episodes expecting a shonen-ai type, but dropped it because it's just a nonsensical light episodic short. At the time, because of my expectation and I wanted more than that, I couldn't accept it.

Anyhow, yesterday, while looking for a show to watch, I ...

    SO DAYUM CUUUUUUUUUUUTE
This is pure perfection: lovely art, characters, pacing. It's only about four minutes per episode, but it's enough time to introduce and fall in love with the entire cast. It doesn't take itself too seriously and gives off this relaxed vibe as if the entire world is just a big giant bubble bath. It's perfect as is.

(Although I wouldn't mind if this series was longer. Or if they expanded that ...

  • A Nice Short To Watch
    3/5 stars

Orenchi no Furo Jijo is a very enjoyable series to watch. It's full of adorableness, cuteness, and fluffiness. ^///^ The Opening sequence makes it seems like it's a psychological, drama, action show, for some reason. Nevertheless, it makes it stand out that much more.

Even though I knew that Mikuni (the eco-friendly jellyfish) was voiced by Na-chan (Natsuki Hanae; he also voiced ...

  • Cute Merman Time Filler
I found this anime to be adorable and great to just sit down and watch. It made for a great watch after work when I just wanted to unwind. I hope to see more in the future, because I love the artwork and the fun characters. Definitely suggest giving it a watch

  • Mermen and Mischief!
I want to make this review short and sweet, since this anime turned out to be just that.

Orenchi no Furo Jijo is a very short anime (with episodes only lasting about five minutes, opening included) about a young man who finds a merman along the shore of a river and brings him home. Hijinks ensue and that's all there is to it.

It's a very cute little show that progresses well. I ended up ...

    Very cute and funny.
Hilarious! I really enjoyed watching this show. The characters are funny, and really cute! It's something completely different. While most animes are very serious, this one is the complete opposite. If you're sad, or just don't know what to do, this is the perfect anime for you. It cheers you up immediately!

  • Absurd, funny and cute.
Didn't expected this to be any good and only checked it out because of the bizzare premise, but this show turned out to be great fun. It's weird and has a lot of good humour, and all of the main characters are quite likeable. I consider this to be a hidden gem, and hope that more people will give it a try.

  • Short, lovable and funny
At the first gaze I thought it would be a weird anime but it turned out to be that and many other amazing things. I rarely watch short anime but this one just made me smile the entire time through!
Funny, cute and makes you remember how great the little things are in life.
    10/10!

  • If you just want something to fill the time
This show can do that for you. The guy who is keeping this merman is a kind guy who probably was lonely. Sure he could go get a companion but how many times do you find a random merman out of the sea? And all his little random sea companions that come by every so often?
Cute and 2 minutes of bite size anime fun
