  • Not in the Slightest Disappointed
Ok, so maybe the criticism I saw here about the fight scenes was valid, yet they still were in a different context than any other anime I've seen. It's probably a bit talky, too, but it's real, and warm and human. If I was in high school seeing this, it would give me hope for the future.

  • Loved the game, loving this too!
I adored playing the P5 game so much, currently working on our NG+. I'm so glad with how they've taken things and I hope for more OVAs! The voice acting is awesome and I love seeing all the little details and foreshadowing that you can pick up on if you've played the game.

  • Never played the games, still decent show.
I decided to watch this series after seeing a letsplay by Lost Pause for Persona5 and was curious at how well it would do compared to Persona4: the Animation. I have not played any of the Persona games, full disclaimer, so I can not compare whether this was a good adaptation of the game. Overall, this is a decent anime.
The story and characters have to be summarized for a project of this nature, ...

  • Worth a watch for fans of the game.
If you're a fan of the videogame, this is a nicely done animated adaptation. While of course, the game is better, it is completely understandable why a 90-hour game has to be altered a slight amount for an animated series. Regardless, Persona 5 The Animation is worth a watch.

  • Pretty but lacks depth
I'm on episode 18 right now,
My friend showed me persona 5 and the game was great cant wait to go back and try to get all the trophies in it,
But this anime...its far from its video game origin. Only after 18 episodes they covered like 3 or 4 important acts of the game.

I wish the anime would just slow down but I feel they desperately are trying to get all the characters together as quickly ...

  • Persona 5 The Animation Review
This happens to be a very good adaptation of a video game into an anime. I only recently started watching anime, so I did not know where to start. I saw this and I was like, "you got my interest," and this is from someone who played the game first. This may be an exact copy (minus ren friendzoning everyone) of the game, but A1 had good reasons for it. What we got here is a masterpiece that I ...

  • Mostly for Fan Service....PLAY THE GAME FIRST!!
Even though I was excited to watch the anime, it serves best as fan service overall. No matter how badly animated I thought most scenes were, or how badly paced some episodes were, I always continued to stay updated on episodes every week. Why? Because I was attached to the game and was desperate for anything 'Persona 5' related. Long story short, play and enjoy the video game first, then watch ...

A Thrilling and Captivating Story of Rebellion
Not only was the game phenomenal, but the anime has made it vastly more accessible to enjoy this incredibly story and message. The Persona series has always had a social justice orientation, however, I hold that Persona 5 in particular, has an explicit message of fighting against corruption and state violence.

The Phantom Thieves of Hearts are painted as evil criminals, evading the law and ...

  • Incredible, great job, Masashi Ishihama!!
I fell in love the game and the animation has done it incredible justice with additional perks on character development. Gorgeous aesthetics and soundtrack - love the theme 'Break in to break out', wow. Most importantly, I love the relationship building/tension between Ren and Akechi, absolutely perfect THANK YOU! I will say, play the game first before watching the animation, just to further ...
