I get lost easily, and Phi Brain reminded me of that. I could never quite tell what was going to happen, and I'd get lost trying to solve puzzles alongside the characters, only to fail because they're too good at it! The show has pulled my emotions every which way and has alluring, colorful characters. I really love this one- can't wait for the next season!

  • Inspired by Phi Brain
I think this anime is really something. While watching up to episode 38 so far, I realized that I too love puzzles. This anime has inspired me to make one of the worlds hardest puzzles one day I give this anime a rating of 5/5.

Reasons to continue after season 1
I Highly recommend watching this! Certainly does have rewatch value!

Season 1 had a good storyline and ending, if you want to go onto season 2 do it by all means, but it isnt that good. if you push through it you'll see it actually ends up getting good! which is where it can do a lot more to the series! Either way, just look forward to another second yet good ending!

    Left absolutely speechless.
Anime and puzzles, two of my favorite things put in one. I love this series so much, and I'm very glad I got to take the time and watch it (just before I go back to school!) because Phi-Brain gave me almost everything I wanted in an anime. The characters were fantastic, and the story was able to match, all to my surprise. The development of this story was far better than I had ever imagined it to ...

I really wanted to like this... Puzzle Time
I don't know... like I really wanted to like this,... but...

The story - the characters are ok, but their motivations are not clear or made up on the spot or just illogical... like most of the stories involve some weird possessive friendship angles or fake memories. Actually it makes no sense a lot of how the characters are tied to the story.

Puzzles - The puzzles, well some of them are ...

    Good Idea Bad Execution
The original idea about an anime where people solves puzzles seemed interesting and I thought it would be something like Death Notes, with mind games and psychological aspects. In reality it was big huge disappointment. The storyline is childlike in its simplicity and the characters are one dimensional and way too naive and impossible.

I just can't , praying it gets better
So I had high hopes for this anime. I love the studio and the premise seemed great. The first couple of episodes were okay but I feel the story is just dragging. Filler episodes with side characters already? It's not a good sign when I cringe about having to watch the next one but hoping it gets better. I'll keep trudging in hopes that my sacrifice keeps getting repaid with wonderful anime like ...

Phi brain is the best thing that ever happened to me
I love this anime, it has everything from the logic I know and love from math to science and everything else i learn in school, to the fantasy I love to play like final fantasy, it may seem that this would be hard to do, but this anime balances them both so perfectly. To anyone out there who is new to anime, loves solving puzzles, and has a soft spot toward fantasy then this is the anime for you

    I couldn't enjoy the storyline
The premise of the show is awful. People run around making giant "puzzles"/traps which usually don't survive one use as they usually end up destroying themselves in the process of trying to kill the person attempting the puzzle. If they wanted someone dead and had those resources, they should've just shot him. Now bizarre storylines can be ok/great if the show is not so serious or there is genuine ...
