  • Best anime of 2014!!
I don't think I can put this into very simple words. This show makes you show all sides of every character: Happy, mean, stressed, confused. There are no bad characters they all put them into such detail to why they are playing. The show each characters weakness and strengths. They show you what it feels like to lose. Now I can get to everything else!
First of, if the art style looks ...

  • The best fictitious work about ping pong
The characters are well developed and the story is captivating. As a somewhat competitive table tennis player who follows professional table tennis, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the details of the sport that this anime got right: multiball training, physical training, strategy, techniques, and even small things like brand names and the movements that people make before serving.

  • One of the most innovative and powerful series I have seen in quite some time
Deep characters, interesting art, and a coherent narrative makes this anime one I highly recommend. the animation can be a little rough at times but it all has a nice flow to it, one of the few series I plan on purchasing so that i can support this amazing work of art.

Truly, the hidden gem of this generation of anime
Never have I felt characters more relatable than the whole ensemble of Ping Pong. I have seen this anime about 30 times now, tonight it will be 31. It is a show that should be watched over and over. It is a show that motivates me to carry on. It is a show that teaches me to believe in myself. It is a show that teaches me to have fun.

It is a tragedy many will ignore the show because of its off ...

  • Smile! The hero appears!
You think this is a anime just about ping pong? You'd be dead wrong, it's so much more than that. The animation may be a little off-putting at first but just give it a chance and it grows on you. I can't tell you how great this is you just have to watch it.

  • A Story of Maturity and Being Happy
PPTA told a story to never give up, to stick to what you believe, and to have fun. The show expresses what it means to grow up and mature. A loss of innocence but the strength to be content. PPTA uses these amazing characters to explain what it means to be happy. What it means to be content and fulfilled.

And how great ping pong is.

    An overlooked work of genius
This is, without hyperbole, one of the greatest sports stories told in any medium. Yet, underneath the story of what it means to dedicate yourself to a sport, this is an anime about being human and the repercussions of living in a highly competitive world. It is also a brilliantly observed character study.

Don't be put off by the art style. By the end of the series, you will come to see its ...

  • A uniquely and well told story
This is a must watch anime. I could, and am very tempted to, go on and on about the content, the characters, and my feeling towards them but I don't want to risk spoiling anything. Basically this is a quality story, one worth being told, that's presented in a extremely entertaining and unique way (some may be turned off by different aspects of the animation but I thought it was stunning-in a good ...

  • Model for sports anime
This show shines above all other sports anime. Yeah other sports anime are incredible (for example Haikyuu!!!) but no other sports anime to my knowledge really brings it to you like this anime does. It truly does draw out so much from each character and each person is unique in they're own regards while filling in a archetype. I wish there were other shows that were more like this anime.
