The Director of Konosuba Made This
I went into this show with incredibly low expectations. It's an adaptation of a mobile game that I have no familiarity with and it looks like it will be treading some well worn paths through isekai.

About halfway through the opening of episode 2, I realized why this show felt so familiar - it feels like Konosuba. After a quick Google search, I discovered that Princess Connect! Re:Dive is ...

Its a Slice of Life, Not an Action Isekai
The people that gave this low reviews seem to have not understood anything about this show. This show isnt like RE:Zero, Slime, or No Game No Life. It's far more like Yuru Camp or Dragon maid, just that it's based in a fantasy setting. This fact was at least to me extremely obvious since the first episode.

In other words it's an anime thats not really about some intense over arching plot, but ...

Very Promising, I'm looking forward to more!
Since only the first episode is out at the time of writing, these are only a first impression. At first this show seems like a power fantasy isekai, and it rolls with it for the first few minutes, then you're hit with some unexpected comedy, similar to Konosuba.
This show seems promising and I hope it can carve a niche for itself this season!

    Good first impressions
At first glance, this looks like another standard adventure isekai. After watching the first episode, it does retain that first observation with a couple of things that stand out. But that's not necessarily bad, not everything needs to be a ground breaking or genre defining artwork. Sometimes chilling with the simple things is enough. Princess Connect Re: Drive seems like one of those anime where ...

    From a game Standpoint
For many who don't know this is a game that came out on mobile devices, so if your confused or frustrated with the story you should look in to that first. Cygames is trying to get its stories into the animated world which is very exciting, so when looking at it as JUST an anime it may come across as bland or not as action pact . The harem aspect in this anime is fine and even though the MC is OP ...

Way better than expected, Konosuba vibes.
I didn't know what to think going in but they landed a good unexpected joke early and then kept the train rolling. The animation is good quality, it's funny, and it has some heart to it. The MC being so amnesiac that he's basically a toddler who can barely even is also a pretty funny way to make fun of the silent protagonist trope.

    Lighthearted and fun so far
Didn't know what I was getting into at first but after watching the 2 episodes we have I think it has some promise. The show is far from groundbreaking with its story so far and the ideas in it but that's fine. The art is well done and pleasing to watch and the characters have chemistry with one another. It has some Konosuba vibes to it but it's still doing its own thing with characters that are ...

A Light-Hearted Isekai with a Good Amount of Humor
A lot of people have been comparing this to Konosuba, and while it does have the same director, the overall feel of this anime couldn't be more different. To me, it felt more like an Isekai version of Wagnaria. Overall, I'd still consider this to be a hilarious and fun anime, but in a different way than Konosuba.

Where in Konosuba, the characters represent subversions of classic tropes, ie. the ...

Fun anime, good for some laughs
If you are looking for a profound anime that makes you think, this isn't it. If you are looking for a lighthearted anime that makes you smile, this is it. Good animation and a easy to follow plot, so far has done a good job of entertaining me and I would recommend it to anyone who liked Konosuba

    Harems and RPGs? 5/5
If you like waifus, harems, and a generally easy to roll with story based on a popular gacha game that actually doesn't suck... then this one's for you!

It's honestly pretty funny and Yuuki, the MC, is fun to watch getting started.
And for me at least, I like stuff like this. It knows what its audience wants and delivers without any pretense or agenda... which is EXACTLY what a good ...
