Now this is a show with differing opinions if I've ever seen one. Some people I have asked praise it as the greatest anime of it's season while others want nothing to do with it. If I had to choose then I'd have to classify myself as one of the former. Even if I do have some minor problems with it.

Now this is a show with differing opinions if I've ever seen one. Some people I have asked praise it as the greatest anime of it's season while others want nothing to do with it. If I had to choose then I'd have to classify myself as one of the former. Even if I do have some minor problems with it.
The most glaring weakness of this anime is the length, or lack of it. With only 10 episodes from start to finish it's possibly the shortest 24 minute anime I've ever watched. This gets even more frustrating if you're a light novel reader like me and realize exactly where they decided to cut off in the story. This ties into my other problem.
This problem would be the character development. We see some throughout the show, but nothing truly impressive as a result of the anime ending at the end of volume 2 instead of continuing into volume 3 and beyond where they start fleshing out the backgrounds of the 3 "Problem Children" as well as the rest of their group.
Still, while those are some big problems considering how simple they would have been to fix, they are also the only things I don't like about the show.
The visuals of this show are top notch, the character design and animation are both pure eye candy for me, especially with how they don't stray too far from the original illustrations of the light novel.
The music is also pretty impressive. The composer Shiro Hamaguchi may not be at the level as someone like Yuki Kajiura, but I'm still pleased with the work he did on this show's soundtrack.
The story is another highpoint. It's simple yet enjoyable at the start, but start to get more serious as the Problem Children start getting used to Little Garden and it's laws. It may not be the best part of the anime as a result of it's length but it's still a good plot.
Finally there are the Protagonists. Yes I used plural. Despite what many seem to think, Izayoi is not the only main character, if he was there wouldn't have been a point in introducing Asuka and Yö.
From the very start we get to see that these aren't like other characters we are used to seeing star in an anime. The trio aren't the usual humble or innocent hero. Usually they are the complete opposite and live up to their nickname as the Problem Children and takes a lot of pleasure in the title.
This also happens to be where most of the humor in this show comes from. Watching the trio torment those aroud them for amusement is one of my highlights of this show and it doesn't get old.
Finally there's the action. Another of my highlights. The action scenes of this show are just as great as the rest of the animation, And having Izayoi, Asuka or Yö be the one fighting makes it even better thanks to a combination of the interesting and versatile abilities they have as well as their personalities.
This adaption have some problems but I think they are all tied to the single fact that the show only got 10 episodes. It got a nice plot, solid action, comedy, animation and music. The characters are also great, with special mentions to the three Problem Children, Kurousagi and Shiroyasha.
I'd love nothing more than to give this a 5/5, but I can't bring myself to do it because I know what happens in volume 3 and 4 and I was disappointed when I realized they wouldn't have time to go that far into the story. Instead I will hand the show a 4/5 and advice whoever had the patience to read this whole thing to give it a try. As well as to look up the light novel if you like what you see because there is more epicness ahead!
