  • Sci-Fi Crime Drama at its Finest
    Psycho-Pass S1
This show hails from the lineage of cyber-thrillers by Phillip K. Dick and William Gibson, staying true to its predecessors in theme, as well as inserting great references to prior works in the dialogue between characters. This self-awareness, of explicitly and intelligently discussing its own themes takes the show to the same level as Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex ...

  • Not quite Ghost In The Shell, but still good.
In many ways the tone, and themes of this show are similar to Ghost In The Shell.

So if you like that darker, more intellectual thriller + action show, this is for you.

You definitely need to watch the first one if you ever run across the Psycho Pass 2, but overall I definitely give it a recommendation to check it out.

  • Extremely Good Show.
I've watched a fair amount of anime, but I knew this would be my favorite show as soon as I watched the first episode.
I don't want to describe it at all because I really believe someone should take it upon themselves to try something and see what it's like. But, I had a feeling it would be my favorite and it delivered. Great quality, animation, plot, art, music...

  • Not your typical futuristic sci-fi cop show
Watch the first episode, and right away shows like Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell come into mind. Basically this is a cop show in the not too distance future. What makes it different is the idea of criminal coefficient that can be read by a machine. And judgement can be dispensed based on this machine reading. How accurate and reliable can it be? Well, if it was that accurate and ...

  • One of my favorite shows!
I fell in love with this show from the first episode. I love the mystery and the chemistry of Kogami and Akane. The super advanced technology and the details and logistics of it really drew me in. I highly recommend it! You can't go wrong with this one.

  • An Anime for people who like to think
PSYCHO-PASS is a real treat for people who like to think. Thankfully, it's not overly complex to the point where it makes no sense. On the contrary, it makes a lot of sense! All the characters have motives for the things that they do and all plot points have explanations, so nothing happens without a reason.

Additionally, if you're into AI, this anime should be in your queue. I truly believe ...

  • Wonderful creation, with great philosophical undertones
The philosophical debate of a possible likely future for humanity leaves you in awe and wonder as to what side you would be on. This show goes on to challenge the concepts of redemption and how far you'll go before you're the one needing to be terminated.

    amazing and totally unexpected
This is an unbelievably amazing experience and time for me as a person. I HAVE NEVER had an interest in animes that aren't centered around moe tropes and harems. This was a gamble for me to even allow my browser to load the first episode of Psycho-Pass. Now I am so happy I did. I have never experience such a hard hitting anime with drama in every single episode. I could marathon this entire anime ...

  • A Solid Science FIction Series
The plot of Psycho-Pass is very intriguing, and keeps me hooked. Under the Sibyl system, people can be scanned for their potential to commit crimes, and those who score too high on the criminal coefficient are tossed in jail, often before they get a chance to harm anyone. But there is a criminal mastermind out there, a real Moriarty type, who can thwart the scans, and rebels against Sibyl. Our ...

  • Excellent PG-17 sci-fi police suspense show.
I don't like shallow anime. I like depth, character development, well-developed settings and a story that moves along.

This show has all of those in a sci-fi setting that's exactly futuristic enough. The best part is that the characters are all unique and everybody gets development. Some of those who seem to be only supporting actors get a surprising amount, and it really adds to the sense of ...
