Parallel World Partners Butt Heads in Cop Craft TV Anime Trailer

Adaptation based on fantasy / "buddy cop" light novel series hits Japanese TV on July 08, 2019

Detective Kei Matoba takes on some strange crime cases when Earth is linked with the magical world of Leto Semani in the Cop Craft TV anime.

The veteran police detective often doesn't get along with their rookie partner, but these differences are exacerbated further when the partners in question are literally from two different worlds, and such is the case in the new trailer for Cop Craft, an upcoming TV anime based on the fantasy / "buddy cop" light novel series written by Shoji Gato (Full Metal Panic!) and illustrated by Range Murata (Last Exile).

Cop Craft is set in the sprawling metropolis of San-Teresa City some 15 years after a hyper-dimensional rift opened above the Pacific Ocean, connecting Earth with a magical world known as Leto Semani. Now over two million immigrants from both worlds mingle in San-Teresa City, but despite an otherwise peaceful blending of dozens of cultures, crime still lurks in the shadows. Kei Matoba, an Earth-born police detective, and Tilarnna Exedilica, a knight from Leto Semani, work together for the San-Teresa City Police to stamp out drugs, weapon smuggling, human trafficking, and other violent crimes.

Detective Kei Matoba and knight-errant Tilarnna Exedilica fight crime in the Cop Craft TV anime.

The original Cop Craft light novels are published in Japan by Shogakukan under their Gagaga Bunko imprint. The Cop Craft TV anime is directed by Shin Itagaki and features animation production by Millepensee.

Cop Craft will broadcast in Japan on Tokyo MX, BS11, KBS Kyoto, and AT-X beginning on July 08, 2019, with an additional broadcast to follow on WOWOW beginning on July 10, 2019.
