World Trigger Manga to Take Another Month Break Due to Author's Health

The manga will be back in the June issue of Jump SQ.

World Trigger Season 2

The official Twitter account for the Jump SQ. magazine revealed on Monday that World Trigger will not be appearing in the May issue (released in Japan on April 4) of the magazine due to the manga creator's Daisuke Ashihara health. World Trigger previously took a break in the March issue (which released in February) due to a sudden illness. The tweet once again confirms that Ashihara does not have COVID-19.

World Trigger is set to return in the June issue of Jump SQ., which will be released in early May.

The first season of World Trigger aired from October 2014 to April 2016, totaling 73 episodes, with the second season starting in January 2021 and streaming on Crunchyroll. A third season is scheduled for October 2021. The entire series is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, which describes the series as such:

One day, a gate to another world opened in Mikado City. Invaders from another dimension, referred to thereafter as Neighbors, overran the area around the gate, leaving the city gripped by fear. However, a mysterious group suddenly appeared and repelled the Neighbors. This Border Defense Agency independently researches Neighbor technology and fights to protect this world. In a short time, they managed to build an enormous base and prepare a defensive system against the Neighbors. it's been four years since then
