A Absolutely Postively Perfect, Amazing Anime ~ Masterpiece
Puella magi madoka was the most memorable anime i have ever watched... from the character development that seems so real, to the unique and artistically beautiful design of the animation.. this anime was perfect in pretty much every way possible.

The One thing though.. is the soundtrack. The soundtrack in this anime is like nothing ive ever heard. it will make you cry, laugh, think, and feel ...

    Well that was interesting...
I've been hearing about Madoka Magica from friends for a long time now - they would tell me it was a great anime, filled with unexpected twists, and even though some scenes in it were 'messed up' or super depressing, it was addicting nonetheless.
I have to admit, PMMM is indeed a great anime; it kept me on the edge of my seat, from wondering if Madoka would ever become a magical girl to ...

It lives up to the hype
Fictional stories that are continuously hyped have had the tendency of not fulfilling the audience’s lofty expectations toward the work. Hype, as defined by the dictionary, is to promote or publicize a product or idea intensively often exaggerating its importance or benefits. Puella Magi Madoka Magica matches the latter definition of hype but is the exception to the frequency by which a narrative ...

    Read Less, Just Watch It
It's tempting fate to read comments about the series because so many people have already seen this, and a lot of them seem to assume that everyone else has seen it. Spoilers are freely posted in comments and such.

This is not a fan service series, at all. The story is deep, the characters are memorable, and the ending... is what it needs to be. I'll leave it at that.

    Just go watch it.

    Give this one a try...
This is NOT an anime that I would have watched at all, but for a lucky accident. I was at an anime convention (as the chaperone for my teenage daughter and two friends, if you must know), and sat down to watch the first episode during some dead time. The imagery of the opening segment hooked me for the first episode; the mixed-media encounter with the first witch hooked me into watching the second ...

Be careful what you wish for...
Being a fledgling otaku fan-sub, I greedily grab all the RAW anime coming out of Japan and sift through the chafe finding those anime destined to be legend. "Puella Magi Madoka Magica' or simply 'Madoka', is to become part of my library alongside AnoHana, Katanagatari and Death Note.

Similar to 'DeathNote', there is the unnerving unblinking supernatural, a 'kyubey' (remotely ...

    A brilliant deconstruction
Puella Magi Madoka Magica is one of the real gems from last year's anime, and stands on its own as a true classic. The art direction is phenomenal, gorgeous backgrounds and inspiring architecture set the mood of an idyllic world, while disturbingly psychedelic interludes reveal the darker truths that lie beneath. The story is outstanding, deconstructing the often absurdly optimistic magical girl ...

The roadway to hell is paved with the cobblestones of good intentions.
The very beginning starts off with one of my favorite gimmicks from two of my favorite movies, "Head"(1968) and "Apocalypse Now"(1979),
    . . . I'll leave you to your own inferences . . .
This show begins with the usual frilly, magical girls stuff.
A cute/kawaii little familiar that needs help to save people from the catalysts of despair . . .
    Witches.
All they have to do is make a contract ...

    Mind blowing and great.
To those of you who watched the first episode and thought "Oh, well this is just a typical magic girl cutesy type of thing." You are all too wrong. The storyline for this is amazing, it gets dark fast and I'm not allowed to explain how. You just have to give it a chance. Like everyone here says, watch until episode 3, you'll be begging for more. I know I was.

So yes, overall 5/5, there' a few ...
