    Ripped my heart out.
This series is tragic. Don't let the cute girls on the cover make you think otherwise. To those who've watched the anime and disagree, watch the third movie let your heart get ripped out of your chest.

But don't get me wrong, even if this anime has broken something inside of me, it's still amazing for doing that. It is top-tier work on the part of [email protected], and one of the reasons I love ...

Even my husband stopped in his tracks to watch
My husband, who is really not into magical girls, found himself also hooked on this amazing dark and intriguing plot. Taking into account the seriousness of being a magical girl and the consequences thereof in a whole interesting direction, this is on my top favorite animes.

    Bait and Switch Anime
So, I came for the magical girls and left with an aching heart. It's like a show that makes every effort to convince that it's just a brainless magical girl show, but then as soon as you watch it it starts to slowly destroy that illusion.

Highly recommended! Even if you don't like cute high school girls in frilly outfits.

Gen Urobuchi's Masterpiece - The Mahou Shoujo Breaker
Puella Magi Madoka Magica [Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika] (魔法少女まどか☆マギカ) is a Magical Girl/Mahou Shoujo written by Gen Urobuchi and directed by Akiyuki Shinbo. With artwork by Ume Aoki and Gekidan Inu Curry, stunning animation by studio SHAFT responsible for the Monogatari series, and the enchanting musical score of Yuki Kajiura, this anime outdoes itself in every way possible.

    Plot: 14 year-old ...

    A touching, tragic masterpiece
I'm glad I watched it, make no mistake. It was one of the best and richest experiences I've had in my life, not just across anime, and part of me is sad it's taken me this long to watch it. But the other part knew what was coming, and is saying, "I told you so,".

If you're reading this chances are you've seen it, and you don't need me here. But if you haven't...

    Puella Magi Madoka Magica ...

Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover
Puella Magi Madoka Magica looks like it would be a silly, girly anime about a bunch of teenage girls running around, using magic, and giggling. That's not what its about. It starts off a little slow (only is the first two episodes, really), but it gets better, trust me.

Madoka Magica is about two girls who get asked the question "What is a wish you would trade your life for?" by a magical ...

HOW DARE THIS BE SO GOOD
Okay so I don't really keep up with super long animes because I don't have the time, so I watch shorter ones like this series. I follow a few accounts on tumblr that always reblog artwork from this series, and I never knew much about it.

Finally I decided to give it a try and good god. I barely have words.

I don't want to make a super long review, I just want to say that this series left me ...

These aren't your typical Magical Girls
My first impression of this anime was that it was just another Magical Girl's adventure through making friends and beating up bad guys. I could not have been more wrong. By the 3rd episode I couldn't believe what I was watching and it just kept getting better from there.

This is probably my favorite anime of all time and I can not recommend it enough.

Utterly astonishing triumph of a story
Please, do NOT judge this story by its cover. Madoka is an absolute triumph of storytelling which should earn it a place among great works of fiction and not merely good anime. Certainly, the art and music are both fantastic, the script is absolutely excellent and the story...well the story blew me away. The story is poignant and linear without any extraneous junk, it is merely a perfectly ...

Just a Blunt Review: Puella Magi Madoka Magica
To be quite blunt, as I usually am, I don't believe that Puella Magi Madoka Magica is as good as people say. More or less, it appears to be a pseudo-intelligent piece. The majority of people claim that Madoka is a deconstruction of the magical girl genre and is therefore a good piece of writing. I believe that it takes more than being a deconstruction to be good. And I don't believe that it is a ...
