    I've been Enlightened
This show is stunning, though the plot is slow at first, it accelerates by 3000%. They made things fit together so neatly so amazingly. Remember that everything has it's price.

  • This isn't just a cutesy, girl anime.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a surprisingly dark anime that plays on your emotions and feelings. The plot bases around magical girls, who seem to have amazing powers and the resolve to save a whole city.
While the viewer wonders why anyone wouldn't want to have such fantastical ...

  • BEST ANIME EVER! Watch It!
Warning: When watching this show, be prepared to shed some tears! This is the best show I've ever watched. Surprise is around every corner. Man, I got so attached to these characters. Even if you don't like anime or magical girls, you'll fall in love with this show. Also, the soundtrack is bae. My friends and I listen to them on our own time.

  • I got PTSD and sadness
After the 12th episode, I went into a mental breakdown due to the sadness

The title "My Best Friend" made me cry.

My doctor said I was diagnosed with PTSD and other mental disorders.

I might also get a scar on my psyches as well.

    But I moved on.

  • Kawaii / Suna no yona
As far as "Magical Girl" titles go it has a dark edge to the series, despite its upbeat opening. As each episode unfolds it reveals a new revelation that adds a new layer of suspense. It leaves its audience wanting more and wraps it up nicely in the end (no spoils though). The animation style is easy of the eyes, even during fight scenes. For twelve episodes long it is a sound investment of ...

One of my favorites, watch it now!
Amazing show. DON'T READ COMMENTS BEFORE WATCHING. Go into it not knowing anything and this show is just amazing. Well heck, even knowing the whole plot now, I'd still watch it again cause its that good.

One thing I really love is the animation style and how it switches into something completely new when in the magical world. Really well done.

    Sad, haunting, tragically beautiful
When I first started watching this anime, I totally thought it was going to be this cute, little girl anime about young teenagers becoming magical girls and defeating cutesy witches in labyrinths full of butterflies. My friends warned me...and they were right.

The first few episodes are very misleading. They're very cutesy, the animation is very cutesy, the dialogue is...you catch my drift. ...

  • Fascinating, dark, and sad
On the surface, it looks like a cutesy girlie anime. It really isn't.

It's a complicated emotional story with a lot of sadness and heart break. If you like things that are interesting, this is for you. If you want to have a happy ending at the end of every episode, go watch something else.

  • A Wonderful Deconstruction
Puella Magi Madoka Magica is one of Urobuchi's finest works, successfully deconstructing the magical girl genre. It depicts the stress of being a magical girl, and its emotionally conflicting ending (especially that of the third movie Rebellion) will move the viewer as one realizes that the life of a magical girl is not always magical.
