The best Mahou Shoujou anime I have ever watched!!!
To be honest with you, I'm not a big fan of Mahou Shoujou animes, (from most I have seen the transformation scenes are long and get annoying after a while and some I have seen have annoying episodes that drag on over and over until they get to a good part). But this anime, wow....I never expected to be so dark, episode 3 was a shocker. The plot is amazingly done and has the most the most shocking ...

Trust Nothing, Not Even the Title
It's hard to talk about why this show is so good without spoiling everything. So I'll just say this to entice anyone who might dismiss this as another typical 'magic girl' anime. The poster is a lie, the title is a lie, heck even the first few episodes are lies. Sit back, open your mind a little, and if you let it, this show will completely surprise you and undermine your emotions in a devious ...

A Absolutely Postively Perfect, Amazing Anime ~ Masterpiece
Puella magi madoka was the most memorable anime i have ever watched... from the character development that seems so real, to the unique and artistically beautiful design of the animation.. this anime was perfect in pretty much every way possible.

The One thing though.. is the soundtrack. The soundtrack in this anime is like nothing ive ever heard. it will make you cry, laugh, think, and feel ...

One of the must see animes of recent years
If you're asking whether or not you should check out Madoka, the answer is yes! It's a short, but sweet series that really has a lot more to say than the cutesy art would make you think. It does get a bit dark as the story progresses, and it is intended for adults despite the main characters being middle school aged girls. The music is great, the art is astounding, and the story will keep you ...

  • Don't judge a book by it's cover...seriously.
At first glance this shows appears to be everything I hate, super cutesy girls fighting for justice blah blah blah. I honestly thought it was a bit like Sailor Moon and kinda shrugged it off. However, after hearing reviews from my boyfriend I decided to give it another try and wow.... This might sound silly but this show really reminded of Battlestar Galactica. The feeling of it anyway, the things ...

NOT THE PERFECT ANIME EVERYONE SAYS IT IS
I don't know why everyone loves this anime so much, I don't see what is so unique about this series. Lately, a lot of anime and manga are following this trend of 'mind fucking' the viewer anytime they can. Mind fucks or unexpected plot twists DO NOT make an anime good, its just an easy way to . This really bothers me. In Madoka, this cheap trick is not overused, but its used enough times that made ...

Redefined a genre, became a genre.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica was the perfect storm of 2011. It was placed at the right season, it used an immense amount of resources, and was completely successful. Madoka Magica is a piece that will hook even those anti-girl anime fans. First of all, I have to say that it completely redefined a genre and gave it a whole new different (and more appealing) look. Backed by insane animation and visual ...

Magical girls in my warped and twisted wonderland?
I honestly don't know what I can say about this that hasn't already been said before. It was something incredibly different and refreshing, the characters were well done, the "villain" was interesting and cool in a way. It has already spawned a million memes.. I mean, this is probably the most popular non-mainstream anime that I know of right now. Just watch it.

No Spoilers: Pathos-Mathos, The Most Suffering and Joy You Will Ever Witness
There are no spoilers here about this awe inspiring masterpiece.

That does not mean it is a perfect anime. For all the traps of lesser anime it evades (plodding plot, terrible voice acting, slow. dialogue. in. the. middle. of. combat. Fanservice), it still falls prey to others (camera angle changes for the sake of camera angle changes; characters and actions that, once explained, raise ...

The less you know the better
This is one of the anime that has pushed a standard that was already set into new heights. To put it in an analogy, it's like an athlete obliterating a world record. Puella Magi Madoka Magica has shook the standard of the magical girl genre. No wonder it snatched the title as the best TV animated series for 2011 at 16th Animation Kobe Awards.

The only thing I regretted was the fact that ...
