  • Cute mix of slice of life and supernatural
This anime really got me attached. It's cute girls, and the lone boy of the group, all going through everyday life...with ghosts. Re-Kan! was different from any anime I've seen so far and I loved it. I didn't dislike a single character and how could you? Definitely a nice combination of slice of life, humor, and some scariness. Loved the friendships of this anime and I was really hoping they'd ...

  • The Fluffiest Ghost Story Ever!
This is the perfect "horror" anime for people like me (or Inoue) who's generally terrified of the genre. Hibiki is a sweet, kind heroine who has had the ability to see ghosts all her life, but instead of fearing for her life or others, she befriends each and every lost soul. And they in turn, care for her and protect her well-being. Most of the episodes are funny and heartwarming, but some will ...

  • Ghosts, Laughs, and Add a Helping of Feels!
Want yo know why you should watch Re-Kan? We I can tell you why I highly recommend it. This show has a good balance of things that will make you laugh and want to cry. It has great characters that take you through an adventure as you see how the living and the dead coexist with each other.

  • Profound, but tainted by cliche.
"Re-Kan!" presents itself as a slice-of-life horror-comedy with a mostly female cast. Dive in, however, and you'll find there's a lot of depth to this anthology of ghost stories. Our protagonist Hibiki Amami can see ghosts and talk to animals. However, her presence can also allow others to interact with ghosts, and since this is 2015, the easiest communication with the dead is done by way of ...

  • Great show, hope for more in the future!
I really enjoyed this show. I loved the dynamic of all the characters and all their different personalities. I blasted through this anime, and hope that I can pick it up on DVD for my region at some point and that there will be more of it to come!!!!

  • Good Feels with girls and ghosts
Another in the genre of animes I like that revolve around "what would life really be like if you had this bizarre power?" In this case, a girl who sees and speaks with ghosts. Some friends refuse to believe, some are scared, others think it's cool, but all love and support the heroine as their friend.

This is more lighthearted, fun, and feel-good than others I like in this genre (Kokoro ...

This anime is a really good anime. Actually one of the best that i have watched here on this site. It follows a girl who can see ghost and her friends. I wish they could bring the manga into the united states. And ...

  • A solid feel good show that puts a unique twist on slice of life.
Re-Kan! is about a high school girl named Amani Hibiki who can see ghosts. Re-Kan’s episodes don’t really connect and are for the most part individual of each other. However, instead of the ghosts tormenting Amani or trying to make her life miserable, the ghosts protect and love Amani. The plot of the episodes are never very complex, just following the general slice of life standard. Amani’s ...

  • Not horrible, but not great
Characters and jokes are forgettable, no lough out loud moments, main character mainly does weird things in reaction to ghosts nobody else can see and then other people look at her funny or think she is crazy

If I was bored maybe I would watch more of this, but mainly just to see if the perverted cat (who the main character can talk to for some reason) makes any more jokes. He was the funniest ...

  • The lighter side of death
This is an enjoyable anime. The series gets better as it progresses, with more sophisticated themes and plot-lines. However, the artwork, animation, sound effects and voice acting are all average at best. The redeeming value of the show is in the author's vision; it's a pity the production team didn't step up with better quality everything, to match the potential of the author's work. The use of ...
