    An unintended farce?
I think this is going to be fun, but maybe not for the reasons the creators intended. For as much as it plays itself serious, it's hard to take seriously.

If you want to save yourself 30 minutes, here's a quick rundown of the first episode.

A Lord with a sword, you'll never be bored.
It seems to be your standard mage and knight affair, and it pretty much is. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. This is just the first episode, but for what it was it worked together well. The characters are a little on the generic side, but they carry the story without any hiccups. The animation and voice acting are top notch. You could tell that they put a lot of effort into this, and it ...

One of the best of winter season
This is consistently one of my most anticipated animes to watch every week. I love the story and the characters. All the main's are presented as three dimensional characters with their own motives and personalities. The story is engaging because it presents excellent character moments and plenty of political intrigue. I whole heartedly recommend this to anyone who enjoys solid stories.

I Dropped the show for good reason
The show started pretty decent. Magic, swords, and, actual death. It definitely had Gate-like feel to it. However, signs were starting to show that the story wasn't going to make sense. some spoiler.

Basically a lot of effort was spent on developing the "star cross lovers" of a romeo-Juliet couple. Both of whom are rival leaders. But at every given opportunity to solve the dispute, the ...

This show is the Dark Horse of the season
I originally dropped this show after 3 episodes but upon picking it up again towards the latter part of the show it really picks up, granted I haven't read any source material for this or anything but it is now a contender for my top of the season fighting with Overlord and Laid back camp! Definitely check this out and give it a second chance, it deserves it!

    Way better than I expected
When this show started I thought it was going to be focusing on Theo the entire time, but I was pleasantly surprised. As the show went on, they introduced the audience to an interesting cast of characters. I'm looking forward to seeing how things turn out with the crests, the "dark elements" and original prince and princess that were supposed to be married but due to tragedy (and maybe fate?) are ...

    No Training Wheels Here
If you don't need flags to help you follow a plot, or slow drawn out conflicts over the course of 15 episodes you will be fine with this show. This shows primary fault to most reviewers is that it moves too fast or has very little build-up. In that regard to me it is more real, it's less of a entertainment story and more of a historical story. There's no heroes that can truly clear all obstacles ...

A very interesting break from standard MCs
This show has a pretty standard plot for fantasy/military style anime. What really sets it apart from this genre is the main character, Theo.

In pretty much every anime, you get an MC that falls into one of two categories: straight up overpowered or weakling with secret power/family strength. Theo is a breath of fresh air, as he really doesn't fit into either of those molds. He is just a ...

An Anime that leaves you wondering what you just watched.
When I first started watching it, it seemed to have an interesting idea and concept, and I really wanted it to take off. But it unfortunately didn't.

Things seem to happen on a whim, like the plot is being made up literally episode by episode. The characters seem like they could be interesting, but you never really get enough out of them to really connect. Far too often, the characters do ...

    More politics than GoT
    Overall this show is interesting.

Pacing is a bit too fast, not enough time is spent developing characters or fleshing out plot points, as a result it's a lot harder to get invested in what is happening.
But the politics from Empires down to individual characters is ridiculously complex at times. This actually makes the show more engaging in a sense that it isn't the same generic fantasy with ...
