Cygames, the makers of such social games as Rage of Bahamut and Shadowverse, is promoting a new project entitled Uma Musume - Pretty Derby with a short animated video that has to be seen to be believed.

The concept of the game seems to involve a mash-up of an idol-raising simulator with a horse-racing mechanic, except the idols and horses in question are moe, anthropomorphic horse girls.

(Also, ice-skating somehow enters the picture. Don't ask me.)

The official website (available here) indicates that Uma Musume - Pretty Derby is currently in development, with a tagline that asserts that: "This race is just beginning."

"Stay gold, Ponygirl."
