North American manga publisher Yen Press has announced plans to release an adaptation of STAR WARS: LOST STARS today at Anime NYC.
STAR WARS: LOST STARS, Volume 1 is the first officially licensed Star Wars™ manga in nearly a decade! A translation of the LINE Manga which was created and published in Japan, STAR WARS: LOST STARS is a manga style adaptation of a 2015 young adult science fiction novel by Claudia Gray that is set in the Star Wars™ universe.
The Empire can be seductive, particularly if you’re an aspiring young pilot…Thane Kyrell and Ciena Ree both know this very well when they enroll in the Imperial Academy, eager to pursue their dreams. The story follows an average, albeit untidy guy named Hajime Tsukiyoda. Hajime's peaceful everyday life comes to an end when a man-eating goldfish overtake Shibuya. The fish are everywhere, filling the famous scramble crossing, hanging near the Hachiko statue, and even floating through the city center all the while eating as many humans as they can. The unprecedented crisis marks the "worst survival competition in history."
