Playing doubles in the high school soft tennis club is full of challenges in a new promotional video for Hoshia no Sora ("The Starlit Sky"), an upcoming original sports TV anime from director Kazuki Akane (The Vision of Escaflowne) and animation studio 8-bit about young men who learn to express themselves through the sport.

The promotional video (below) highlights the opening theme for the series, entitled "Suisou" ("Water Tank"), which is performed by Megumi Nakajima.

Described as a "true-to-life youth story", Hoshiai no Sora follows a group of high school boys who play doubles tennis in a high school soft tennis club that is in the verge of shutting down. The show explores their thoughts and feelings through the sport. Hoshiai no Sora will broadcast in Japan on Tokyo Broadcasting System and BS-TBS beginning in October of 2019.
