Azu's Magical Sempai Comedy Manga to Conclude in Its 8th Volume

Its serialization is expected to continue until the end of this year

The manga artist Azu announced on her official Twitter that the eighth tankobon volume of her comedy series Tejina Senpai / Magical Sempai will be its final volume.

The manga has been serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine since February 2016, and its next seventh volume is set to be released in Japan on July 6, 2020. According to her tweet, it is not a cancellation against her will, and its serialization in the magazine is expected to continue until the end of this year.

She writes, "Regarding Tejina Senpai, the eighth volume will be its last (it's not a cancellation by any means). I will not make it moving or anything! It is going to be funny until the end. At this pace, it will conclude at the end of this year? I would be thankful for your support~!"

She also introduces the cover of the seventh volume.

The manga's 12-episode TV anime adaptation produced by Liden Films was aired from July to September 2019, and all episodes are available on Crunchyroll to its members worldwide except Asia.

"I met her... a sempai who's cute, but strange!" She loves magic tricks, but she fails every time due to stage fright?! She drags me into the Magic Club and makes me her assistant... and siblings Saki-chan and Ma-kun of the street performers club, and Madara-san of the chemistry club get dragged into it, too. Every day, Sempai fails in energetic yet slightly erotic ways! It's a gag anime about crummy magic tricks that are painful to watch... but you can't stop watching!
