I’ve felt the series has been going down hill.
Was not a fan of the first episode. And not a fan of the re-direction of the show. Previous versions of the anime have been able to grab my attention within the first 5-10 minutes. Just my opinion only-maybe they are doing a little to much. I would rather re watch the older series.

No bueno at all people, look elsewhere,
I mean, I watched the original, many many years ago, and now this shows up. I mean, I would not recommend this to anyone who likes anime, shonen, etc, dont waste your time watching it. If they want more women in anime, just make a new one. This is lazy and frankly, it`s a bit offensive.

    Saint Mary Sue, the awakening
What the hell is this? From weak schoolgirl who knows nothing about fighting or cosmo to... defying the gods in legendary armor in HALF an episode.

Horrible recycled plot and using known characters just to cling to their popularity.

Never thought I said this but SS Omega was better

    1985, The Anime. Part I
I never really got into the Saint Seiya thing, what little of it I've seen has these beautiful gleaming warriors but unfortunately they feel like they've been transported straight out of the 1985 afternoon cartoons I watched as a kid. That's either a good thing or a bad thing depending on whether you lived through that decade...nostalgia is a powerful thing, and in truth I love how retro this ...

    Has terrible issues with pacing.
If this were the good old Saint Seiya days, the entire 4 episodes would have been a season on its own...

Besides the weird animation and ugly graphics, the pace (up to EP4) is so frantic that character development, fight scenes, plot, tension and stakes, and everything else gets compromised.

Particularly egregious are the weak fight scenes, which amount to people exchanging some "ball ...

  • I like it, This series caught me
This series caught me, it feels like the old school, and seeing the characters of my childhood makes me remember good times, has an excellent animation and a good content, I hope they do not deteriorate.
good job toi, I had time that I did not have anxiety waiting for another chapter the following week.

It's bad. It's really, REALLY bad.
This one feels like some poor fan fiction trying to retcon the original series.

Truth to be told, I really do hope that it gets better. As of now (episode 6) it's just a crap fest.

The story assumes that you already know everything that happened in Saint Seiya, with all of its original arcs. It skips forward and goes back without any kind of continuity, trying to force this group of ...

I went out of my way to give this show one star
I’m big fan of saint seiya franchise. But this one is bad in all aspects from plot, story pace, story inconsistenty with the original saint sieya, animation, and many more. I guess they are try to milk every last drop of the franchise.

If they have money to develop another project I would rather for them to finish Last canvas, it’s the best one of them all.

If you are trying to pick a new ...

    Animation quality is the worst
Unlike original Saint Seiya animation, this one lacks the quality that has always represented Saint Seiya.
Toei Animation now only releases SS ONA to sell toys rather than providing a great product to the customer that may get their interest to get the toys and merchandise.
SS Saintia Sho manga has a great story and this opportunity was totally wasted on its anime adaptation. Every single ...

  • Animation is just meh
I watched the old Saint Seiya when it was really old already. The animations and general art style were what struck me as why I assume it became a classic for so many people.

This... is just bad. Some of it is mediocre. None is exceptional. This will not become a classic. It's part of the current fad of really mediocre reboots.
