  • So glad it introduced me to the series
This is the kind of series I look for. Great character depth and story depth. Good mix of action, comedy, and more personal and philosophical moments. Visually gorgeous. I have gone back to watch all previous series and bought the manga. The only thing I regret is not having known anything about Saiyuki before.

  • Good anime but didn't see the previous season
Saiyuuki Reload Blast is the latest season of the Saiyuuki Reload series and in it the westward journey of the four main characters continue. As someone who decided to watch this even without checking out the previous seasons beforehand, I thought the anime was good overall.I thought the story was simple enough so that even a newcomer wouldn't feel too lost. I also appreciate the fact that some ...

  • EXCELLENT!! I would recommend
The mix of modern and olden day. Beautiful animation. Action. Comedy. I Highly Recommend! I hope it continues! There are power. Many characters. The suspense from each episode kept me going. The flash backs were not extremely boring, for it gave some insight as to what was going to happen next and allow the viewer to understand what was going to happen.

  • Now THAT's a Surprise...
I'm really enjoying this show. Took me a while to get hooked, but now I'm dying to know more about the backstory and see where it goes (guess that means I'll be checking out the manga). The artwork is throwback style, but it's really well done. Music is great, and the premise is good.

After Ep. 8, my only concern is that we end up with a 12-13 episode season and never really learn more about ...

  • I'm SO happy this has been animated
I'm a huge fan of Minekura-sensei's work and cried over Saiyuki more times than I can count. This series has me so excited for the story again and reawakened the Saiyuki fan in me.

So far, I'm really happy with the quality of the animation. Frames are smooth, character designs are lovely, and the story seems to so far (up to episode 7) be following the manga, which I love!

    Seriously, for ...

  • Give it a chance! Great for new and old fans!
I saw this come out, and watched the first ep, I was so interested so I went and watched all the previous seasons and ova's, I suggest watching Saiyuki gaiden and Saiyuki Burial ova's if you don't wanna watch like 100 eps of the seasons that came out in 2001. But if you do have the time to watch the previous seasons, there IS alot of filler, (just like naruto and other long running series) it is ...

I'll brawl whoever says this art (sofar) isn't a bad mamajamma
    Hello.

I'm new to the Saiyuki universe.

Didn't know it was an old franchise; the animation and sheer depth of characters is a buffet of fresh air in the stagnant butthole that is currently the we-played-god-lil-2-much-now-we-dun-did-it fantasy fusion arena (fight me if u dont think that is a valid subgenre label)

As stated I'd roundhouse kick 2 times anyone who says this anime isn't tits. ...

  • Waited so long for this
Definitely either read the manga or watch the first few seasons (Gensomaden Saiyuki, Saiyuki Reload, Saiyuki Reload Gunlock) before you watch this if you want to actually give a shit. Most of the people who don't know what's happening don't know because they effectively started at the end of a journey expecting to care and know who the characters are.

Personally, I recommend just reading the ...

  • brings back memories
I remember when I first came across saiyuki and what was when i first saw "Saiyuki gaiden" That was my starting point for getting into this series. I love that there is more saiyuki content due to finding any of the older anime for saiyuki (examples being reload, or gunlock). I love this anime and I'm incredibly happy that Gojo's hair was fixed from when they made the original Saiyuki anime.
